Restored Train Stations


With v2.0, both Vanilla and GotR versions now fit the vision we initially had when we started building this project!

►All Train Station Map Icons will display correctly in both Vanilla and GotR!
►The Counter-Clockwise route is now open for travel!
►GotR version now features compatibility files for those using GotR's 360/PS3 Button Prompt mods!

In order to make room in memory for this mod to work without causing issues, Store Ownership has been disabled. It is therefore recommended to purchase any Stores before installing Restored Train Stations v2.0.​

nice, does this mean the problem with the activity trigger is solved then and I can use the mod with GoTR now?
 
Love the mod, I have a question/feature request, would it be possible to mimick gta 5's subway mechanic where you can hop on the el train and stand inside the train as it drives round the whole map?

I have tried this, to no success. My idea was to set up a floating teleporter at each station to teleport you onto the train. Unfortunately, the train gets despawned to allow you room to spawn there. You can get on the train quite easily now though, with the "noclip" lua command in Juiced Patch.

why not replace the trains around the map with the cutscene one from Waste Not Want Knots

Because this happens...

All four carriages spawn in the exact same place. But because of something about the collision model of the regular El Train, all the carriages slide out from one another. (If you clip inside a train carriage, you might find you can't walk through the middle without crouching. This piece of collision is what I think causes this spawn behaviour.) This haphazard spawning method is probably why the train often spawns in derailed.

The cutscene El Train is not built to spawn in this way, neither is anything else. So when it replaces all four carriages, it gets confused and fights with itself, zooming back and forth all along the track.
