Saints Row 2 Saints Row 2 Mega Patch isn't coming :(

Minimaul is doing this all by himself?! TRULY A LEGEND! I'd like to thank everyone involved in making this happen. It's truly amazing what this website and the people on it but done for this series. The future of Saint's Row is so bright that it's blinding. I love how they are thinking about us and our experience on a 11 year old game. This kind of shit doesn't happen often make sure they all know we love them!! <3

However, A burning question:

- New save file format, it isn't suppose to affect current one
- The new version will be a separate game on Steam so the old version remains untouched

Does this mean we will have to buy the game again, or will previous owners of Saints Row 2 on Steam be able install the new version for free?

Sorry, it's only Steam version so if you own game on Steam you'll receive free copy of patched version

SR2 for PC released January 5th 2019 in NA and January 23rd in EU, maybe they pick one of those dates.
