SPOILERS Saints Row (2022) official info

I don't understand people's concern with the car health bars? Yeah I know it's never been a thing in SR before, outside of Demo Derby, but what's the deal? Is it really that bad? I'd like to know how close I am to making the vehicle explode. It sure would make Trafficking easier
It's not about not being a thing in previous entries, It's just too much HUD elements

Ok, that makes sense.

I'm just at the stage where the only HUD elements I pay attention to, are:
Player Health
Weapon Wheel
Followers
Notoriety

I can literally play as though the other permanent HUD elements don't exist. So I didn't really understand peoples objections/concerns when it came to the Vehicle Health Bars.

I don't even use the Mini Map or the City Map anymore. But that's just because I know both Stilwater & Steelport too well. I'll probably be using the Mini Map and City Map for Santo Ileso until I get used to the city.

But yeah, I just seem to be able to ignore HUD elements even though they take up a large portion of the UI. Mini Maps being the most common.

I couldn't even describe what the HUD for SRTT looks like, or where anything's placed, because I've never really payed any attention to it. Even though I play it quite often.

What the hell is wrong with people's fashion choices in this game? Why is Kevin wearing a dress shirt and tie with baggy jogging pants? Why are the county cops wearing cyan ties? Why do the Marshall specialists wear trench coats, cow boy hats and fedoras on top of their combat gear.
That's the thing that hit me with the two new videos. Lots of weird design choices.

I've seen a lot good too tho, the city looks really good, they weren't joking when they said that they made every district unique. And it looks like they didn't forget the NPCs either, they have different walking animation, they interact with each other and the world. The scenes showing a music concert and some kind of illegal deal were a welcome sight. Now I just hope there will be lots of unique enterable buildings.
The scene where the gang robs the pawn shop was amazing too, it reminded me a lot of the SR2 title screen video when Maero robs a shop in the barrio and kills the owner in cold blood. That's the kind of stuff I wanna see more of.

The game looks more and more promising but sadly the problems I have with it can't be fixed with trailers.

Can we play poker? Can we be a paramedic, fireman, or taxi driver? Are street races coming back? Do we still have Assassinations and Chop Shop lists? Can we put up Saints Gang Tags?
These are actually the kind of questions I most want answered, I really love it when the player can directly engage in a open world and city, and feel like a part of the living landscape, I mentioned this and some examples in my main post.

The city itself looks beautiful, but the heavy depth of field effect is extremely obnoxious and overbearing, and means you can't take in the world. Hopefully there are meaningful ways to interact with the city and it's not just an empty landscape with no end game or open world content.

The player characters gun sounds were surprisingly good, very bass heavy, punchy and satisfying, so that is great to see considering the underwhelming sound design in 3/4, but other than that, the sound mixing was terrible, it was extremely strange. It's super weird how almost none of the pedestrians speak or make any type of noise, and the general cityscape lacks any sort of depth or atmosphere. The vehicles and explosions sounded super weak and the audio was very imbalanced in intensity and positioning.

The small clip of combat was a bit concerning, the cops showed behaviours like dodging and moving around, but on a huge delay, like they have terrible reaction times and only move two seconds after you shoot your gun. Intelligent challenging AI is hugely important to me, and Volition have demonstrated the capability to so as such in the past with AOM and Red Faction. The blood effects look like strawberry jam, but the ragdolls and gun reactivity seemed relatively decent.

It would be nice if they could show us some other player characters, the one they are using looks super frumpy, bland and underwhelming, it doesn't showcase customization well. I hope there is some more variation in possible body types and body customization, and that all the options aren't restricted to the pear shaped skeleton they are showing off. Leather and Lace returning could theoretically demonstrate the return of sex positive options, but hopefully the body customization isn't toned down either.

Overall my thoughts and concerns haven't actually really changed from my first post, which speaks to how little the marketing is showing and demonstrating.

I'm also not a fan of the misuse of the "Pre-Alpha" tag, the game is only a few months from release, the fact that it looks so unfinished is quite concerning.

It looks like fun. I wonder do you need a special suit or some kind of clothing addon to use it or does it appear out of knowere. What if your character shirtless?
