True that! well I'm just reserved on the game. hopefully volition will show off more than what we saw in the game play today.Priorities are important.

Sorry but, I personally couldn't disagree more with your SR3 part, the VTOLs and everything related to STAG was way too futuristic for me, the Saints tower were a fucking eyesore to me (every time I played the game, I didn't upgrade the buildings or just removed them with sandbox+) on top of being a constant reminder that the Saints are now controlling a media empire. On top of being boring it just doesn't make any sense to be playing as a celebrity. All I need is a purple car, a purple shirt or hoodie and a nice penthouse or apartment. Professor Genki and everything related to him was just too over the top, I get it was supposed to parody those weird over the top Asian TV shows, and that was supposed to be the FUZZ successor since it was also a parody of a real life TV show, but FUZZ was oozing style and charisma while Genki's show's was bland. Tanks were cool tho, and had amazing crushing mechanics (I remember being completely blown away by them, after coming out of the GTA 3D era where tanks only made vehicles explode on contact). This also was baffling to me that Volition added the national guard in their game but didn't use it and instead created yet another different faction that was completely out of place to serve as the final bad guys, STAG should've just been the national guard, it would have made way more sense. As you said too, we lost much of the little details, that's the way you can immerse yourself in a world, as much as I love SR3 I could never immerse myself in its world like I could in SR2.I'd be lying if I said that my anticipation for this game's release is entirely positive, but I guess that's technically a good thing.
If they'd created something that was essentially just Saints Row 2, but more up to date, I don't think I'd be hyped at all, and I definitely wouldn't need to see any advertisements for it. Cos I'd already know exactly what I'm getting.
Yeah I'd enjoy it, but I wouldn't really be invested in grinding out the activities, or surprised by anything in the story. Cos it's been done, if I wanted to play something like Saints Row 2, I'd just play Saints Row 2.
That's what got me intrigued by SRTT. New city, new Saints, none standard gang styles, it was different. Yes we may have lost some classic things like Septic Avenger and little details such as being able to chant with the cheerleaders, but we gained so much new stuff in its place. VTOL jets, Saints themed Towers that serve as Cribs, Tank Mayhem, Professor Genki... The list goes on.
Side Note:
I hated Kinzie's attitude towards Playa's actions, but I didn't hate Kinzie. It created a unique dialogue that didn't previously exist. I mean, who in their right mind would dare question the badass leader of the 3rd Street Saints? Everyone else would just follow orders and agree with Playa's decisions.
So yes, I'm nervous about this new direction, but I'm at least going to give it a chance and see what this game really has to offer before I decide where I stand on the future of Saints Row.
I can respect that.Sorry but, I personally couldn't disagree more with your SR3 part, the VTOLs and everything related to STAG was way too futuristic for me, the Saints tower were a fucking eyesore to me (every time I played the game, I didn't upgrade the buildings or just removed them with sandbox+) on top of being a constant reminder that the Saints are now controlling a media empire. We can agree on the fact that remaking SR2 1 to 1 also wasn't a good idea, first because the patch is coming with already constitutes an updated version in and of itself, second because it seems like most of Volition now is somewhat ashamed of/disgusted with SR2, at the very least it's clear that's not the style of game they want to work on. It would have been very difficult for them to build this remake with love.
As I've said before, Volition should just rid themselves of the Saints Row name and fully go in the direction they want to go, unrestricted by this franchise and what people expect from it.
Because at the end of the day being a fucking social media influencer is as far detached from Saints Row as being the fucking president. And fuck those fucking flying bikes too, goddamn it!
Yeah, it surely is. And not only what they wanted to make -- it is what they can because obviously they're totally different team with unalike thinking now.For better or worse, this is the game that Volition wanted to make.
And honestly, I'd rather they make what they want. Whether it's the gangsta game we wanted or not, from watching the trailer I can see they obviously enjoyed crafting the thing.Probably all of this commotion comes from misunderstanding on how a company [video-game-developer] transforming them self along with the changing of staffs that used to worked with them. I noticed that there was Steve Jaros that's the brain behind the first four installment, and he's gone then everything's change.
And yeah, to quote this --
