Saints Row 3 petition for toolset?

Oh! Puns you were making...sorry.:(

You were alive in the 70's?,guess what?....ME TOO!
Hehehe,i knew that world but this one,not so much.

Don't much like this world...different it is.
When the hippies moved to the forests and mountains
i knew..:p ..it was time for social evolution to slow down,
it was time for a backward slide.A period of leveling off
was needed and i was saddened but i understand that there is
power in the ebb and flow.

Now i'm no longer part of a tribe i am an anachronism,
i'm part of what's left of a spirit that moved on.

It's hard finding a new purpose,a new quest,a youthful vision
sooooo, i gave up purpose and quests in favor of youthful visions.

Back to petitions,we didn't petition back then we acted,we made a lot of noise.
We sat in,we protested for what we wanted and we accepted everyone to join
our ranks.No racism,no elitism,no social ranking we were united,we were a tribe.

Activism like you describe will always trump things like petitions for bringing about social change.

Like I said before, add up all the potential DLC cost and place that total cost onto the tool/modset and there you go. I'd sure a shit buy it.

Yes it does and it's amazing to watch a shared need for change grow. The 60's and 70's were ripe for change, young people were rejecting their conditioning
in huge numbers and they were coming from every socioeconomic and racial background. It was beautiful.
Here i go again off on a tangent.

Yah, we keep up that need for change and we might even get to end up with another Stalin riding the wave of another 'peoples revolution' or the
joys of the French Revolution. . Oh, what a period of change that was. Off with every ones head.

Then there was that Hitler thing and the 'Jew Problem' with their final solution. ALl that was change .
Lets not forget Mao and the wonders that 'revolution' brought.
Change for changes sake isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Those that run on change are usually hiding something that the weak buy into and read into what they want. That is the magic of 'change'.
Once the guillotine starts to fall, it won't stop at the neck you want lopped off.
Rosanne Barr, who wants to guillotine some people, I think would be among the first to learn that lesson if the Occupy Movement grows into
the beast it wants to become, by those that are fostering it with hidden (and not so hidden) agendas.
I hate to say it though, I'd be on the sidelines taking snaps of that event for my own amusement.
On a more less violent meme, there was that period of change by activists that brought about the ban on alcohol in the USA.
Look how that turned out. Change is nto always a good idea.
Then there is that whole 'women voting' thing.
/sigh

YEs, I too can suffer from soap boxism. I'll stop.

Oh, I killed some more Luchradores last night.
I like that.

Mr Negative is Uzi.;)
Change is inevitable,it's not an idea though ideas inspire it.
I'm not talking political change, except as a method for incorporating ideals.
I don't give a rats-ass for politics or governments for that matter and
won't discuss that further.

What i'm referring to is a force that is active from time to time that pushes
the world toward a more civilized state.Much like evolution..oh..i forgot, sorry.hehe;)

There are any number of arguments that can be made for the evils of humankind
but i see the world moving toward a more enlightened state.

I am an Atheist so i don't see a supreme being behind this force, what i do see is a
growing collective consciousness that struggles to realize it's own better nature.

Would you all agree that in order for us to acquire all the SR3 modding tools it is going to take money.

There are now over 21,000 members on this site and if only half of them are willing to pay $10 for all the SR3 modding tools that would be at least $100,000.

If the people that have ownership to these tools were aware that they can make lots of money for them, then I am sure that they would get organized and make them available for purchase.

I am willing to pay up to $20 for these tools.

Would you be willing to pay for these tools ?
How much would you be willing to pay for them ?

While money is a problem, the biggest is going to be licensing - large portions of modern games are licensed code. The editor will similarly contain this licensed code - and the licensing often doesn't allow you to release it in an editor.

Plus, $100,000 isn't that much money when you consider how much work would be involved in making tools available. If any number of staff are working on it even for a week or two then that's a lot of money spent on their salary while they are not contributing to the next big project.

Mod tools won't be released because selling half-assed DLC packs is much more lucrative for THQ. If they let users release their own, better content and show them up, how are they going to make money off of that?

Too late.
