Visuals & Graphics Screen flickering while using special K?

So when im using special K to boot up the game, the game looks fine by itself, but when I try to record it in OBS, the OBS screen capture has the game flickering all the time.

Putting the game to fullscreen instead of borderless fixes the flickering, but heavily decreases the recorded FPS.

Any way to fix this?

You could try different methods of recording. If you're using a hardware encoder, try another one for a bit. That or turn down the graphics settings for experimentation

It doesnt have anything to do with OBS, when I hover over the icon and it shows a preview of the game, that preview also flickers as well.

Turning down graphics settings doesnt do anything either

I was able to fix the flickering by checkmarking the framerate limit, but now im getting large black boxes appearing when im panning the camera

yeah that's a thing with the Remastered version. One of the graphical effects settings fixes it, for me that was "turning on fog", whatever that means. original thread
Otherwise updating drivers, fiddling with its settings etc

p/s: it would help others if you told which Special K settings you changed exactly
