Shaders(Materials) Explained

He used just a sphere map
But what is special in this? Masked gradient transparency is a real deal. I believe store's doors have it but shaders for some reason have only clipping mask.
 
I'm going to explain it how I did it but it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
So let me just figure it out and I'll post a short tutorial here.
