SR2 GOG FPS Unlocker

SR2 GOG FPS Unlocker

Program by adamhm (from Wine wrapper for Saints Row 2)
Original Patch by Zyankali
Recompiled for Windows by nclok1405

== Description ==

In Saints Row 2 on GOG, the framerate is capped at 30 FPS.
There is a patch to unlock it... but it is flagged as a malware by many antivirus software.
So, I recompiled the alternative patcher made for Linux (programmed by adamhm) for Windows.

== Usage ==

To unlock 30FPS limit:
1. Copy GOG's SR2_pc.exe (Default Location: C:\GOG Games\Saints Row 2\SR2_pc.exe) into the folder where this tool was extracted
2. Execute "unlock.cmd"
3. Copy SR2_pc.exe back to the game's installation folder
If you are using a Nvidia GPU, make sure to launch the Nvidia Inspector (bundled with SR2 GOG) and disable its Frame Rate Limiter there as well.

To revert:
1. Copy GOG's SR2_pc.exe into the folder where this tool was extracted
2. Execute "lock.cmd"
3. Copy SR2_pc.exe back to the game's installation folder

Care to explain why? Or do you not really care about getting it to work at all?
What a dumb response. They obviously followed the instructions and had no change to their game. I attempted to use this patch and had the same results. Cant explain why it doesn't work cause if any of us freaking knew, we wouldn't be here.

It works flawlessly man, many thanks for this gem! Took me a year or so to be sure that it actually works, lol.

I wasn't sure if that abysmal FPS drops came from my mid-low-end laptop [for today's standards] or indeed from the cap itself so I refrained on using it, but can confirm now that running GOG version of this game on a machine with 4GB RAM and 2GB VRAM looks pretty decent -- well, at least feels way better than my last couple of completed PTs with the cap there...

Yeah, finished the game twice with that FPS, lol. Ah, the air never feels fresher than this before~

Also with this one --
Everyone can do it via NVIDIA Control Panel instead now, as it looks to me they merge the frame-rate limiter that was in the inspector to their panel in their latest driver.
