SR4 DLCs

Sorry guys, my bad, I didnt read the rules

I think I fall into the category of "Pirates" bec I dont have a Steam acct
I just bought the game from a local shop.

We dont have real/legit versions in my country. Every shop sells pirated stuff (when it comes to computer softwares, it's like 95% of the time)

I live in Myanmar (Asia) and most people dont care about the pirated stuff :/

I can understand that some ppl will hate on me and say mean things, but just explaining myself :p
[ wasnt trying to anger u guys on purpose ]

If you decide to ban me from here, I guess I will have to look for another site where I can talk abt SR4 mods and other stuff

**Goes to Google :D
Why rather than going to a shop selling dodgy copys would you not just download steam and buy through ther :S
that way you get a legit copy of the game you get to be able to get dlc, have updates and tech support etc all of them make it worth buyinga legit copy of the game :p

and im sorry to tell you 99% sure you are going to get banned, as you said its nothing personal its just the rules we all have to live by

Myanmar is not exactly the best place for gaming. They just got released from military rule, the country didn't receive internet until 2000, so the vast majority of the censored internet service they have is dial up. They have been free of military dictatorship for about 3 years......so....fair enough on his part. It is a very good possibility that Steam was not an option for multiple reasons. So, kinda an eye opener there I think. Easy to say, "Why you no buy?!" from the safety of America/the west. It seems impossible to us that someone would not have access to everything all the time. We live in the "Bubble of the West". Europe get's pissed when they have to wait a week to get something after the US. Imagine a country that celebrates when AOL is demilitarized....We get everything specially packaged and conveniently delivered.....except Fatal Frame 4! What the hell is that all about!? Stupid Nintendo......

Anyways, god speed rgeddie. We had 3 pages of good times.

It sucks. Some parts of the world don't really have much of a choice. But we have to have the rule for a couple of reasons. One's to keep the publisher and developer happy. Another is that mods usually don't work with the older versions that pirates are using, which means they'll be submitting bug reports for things the authors can't fix.

Agreed. Kinda pointless to be on here if you don't have an official copy, and maybe rgeddie's actually from Vermont. Who knows, but it's something I think the entire industry should keep in mind. Not all used games and pirated copies equal lost sales. Just because someone would pay Gamestop $15.00 doesn't mean they would have paid the publisher $60. Just because someone steals it for free....you get the point. It's more complicated then they lead on....economics...who knew?
