Character Customization SRIV Customization Items

SRIV Customization Items.png

The aim of this mod is to add as much customization items (hair, clothing, tattoo) to Saints Row: The Third as the game can handle.
It currently adds 45 items for both male and female characters.

You can leave your ideas and requests in the comments. I might consider them, but no guarantees.
Please note that I won't be adding items that have physics, as they break DLC content.

That's a really interesting development. May I ask how you managed to do that? As far as I know every other SR3 mod that adds completely new items to the game, have to replace existing ones.

This looks very promising already!

No physics... hmm... like cloth capes and such? Anything that moves on it's own? Got it.
Stuff I'd love to see (those are just suggestions! I do recognize that it's a complicated process and it's super generous of you to even consider any of this):
- Apoc Shirt (the black leathery jacket with no sleeves and a shirt) and Apoc Pants;
- Denim vest;
- Joe Cola Tee and Nobody Loves Me Tee (that would be more of a texture conversion, I guess, but still: I love my logos);
- Puffer Jacket;
- Shorts and Leggings;
- Sock Hop Shoes (I surely hope the laces don't have physics: that sounds like an overkill);
- Arm Warmers.
If dlc isn't off limits then 'Merry Xmas' sweater is really nice :) it would go well with that 'Let it snow!' mod paired up with NTP - Winter.
Also I'm not much of a modder but I could mod some SRTT radio station tracks for you in return. I've successfully replaced 4 radio stations in my game, so there's that.

I'm happy that word "add" means add New items. If there's more hairstyles and clothes to add them, I'm will be happy.

So how did you manage to add the files without replacing others? This could be a breakthrough in SR3 modding. Did you use a similar method to the one used in the game for adding DLC items, or is it a completely original method?

I simply just added the streaming containers to the asm file responsible for handling them, and added new entries to the related table file and translation files. It's nothing groundbreaking, really. The memory limit is still an issue, but we'll see how far it can be pushed like this.

The aim of this mod is to ADD as much customization items from Saints Row IV to Saints Row: The Third as the game can handle.

The first release will include the following 32 hairstyles:
50'S LADY STYLE
80'S ROCKER GIRL
BOY CUT
DISCO BUSINESSMAN
DOUBLE FRENCH BRAID
FAUXHAWK
FORMAL UPDO
GRADUATED BOB
KNIGHT OF FLOWERS
LONG BOUFFANT
MAERO MULLET
MARCEL WAVE
MARILYN CURLS
POMPADOUR BRAIDS
REGULAR CUT
SCI-FI BOB
SHORT AND WAVY
SHORT HAWK
SLICKED BACK (GAT HAIR)
SOFT PSYCHOBILLY
STYLED FADE
TEXTURED AFRO
THE BARRIOS
THE BEEHIVE
THE FRANKLIN
THE GREASER
THE MULLET
THE SUPERHERO
VINTAGE BOB
VINTAGE MOVIE STAR
VINTAGE SHORT WAVES
VINTAGE VIXEN
These are the only hairstyles I will include (for now), as they don't have any physics. I couldn't (yet) rebuild the physics package file with new files without breaking other physics. This will also apply to clothing items that have physics.

I also took some creative liberties, and renamed the following hairstyles:
The SRTT MAERO MULLET is now called TRIBAL MULLET to avoid duplicates (SRIV one is the true MAERO MULLET), and it also seemed more fitting
GAT HAIR is now called SLICKED BACK, just because

If you have any requests or ideas, feel free to leave a comment. I MIGHT consider them, no guarantees. Also, keep the physics stuff (mentioned above) in mind before doing so.
The outfit possibly? Like Matt miller outfit, hat outfit, zinyak….
