Yes, it is a matter of preference. But I would not want Real Is Brown & gritty dramatic realism in Saints Row either. I want bright vibrant colors, with a lot of highly saturated purple!@Quantum
1. That's a matter of preference.
You can't apply a matter of personal preference to set the standards as to what everyone else should enjoy or base an idea on.
What you've decided to limited yourself to isn't necessarily what everyone else limits themselves on.
IV breaks those boundaries of realistic ideas & defines the over the top elements that makes the series stand out more.
Moves it from just another GTA clone.
Why remain limited to that simply because most limits themselves to that.
How does anything the series does evolve, progress, improve if there's no change.
A bigger world, better graphics, on a new console, but yet it's the same thing, more of the same as the first.
That's exactly what kills franchises, no one is willing to be creative or go beyond realism.
The Real Is Brown & gritty dramatic realism shouldn't be applied to SaintsRowV, the western gaming industry is slowly killing gaming with that.
But, honestly, I have been entertained by all the Saints Row games I've played, and there are some very clever and creative people at Volition. I'm confident that they'll carve out their own unique niche with Saints Row V.
That's what makes the world interesting -- everyone has a different opinion. I think Volition should just do whatever they want, because, no matter what, someone's going to love them and someone's going to hate them!lol I think we agree just in reverse a little.
I'm no on the graphical realism & yes somewhat on the story realism.
