Steam Summer Sale!

Why! Why do I have to be broke right now ha ha! What a crap shoot whether to get some killer deals or hold on in hopes that one of the many other games you want hit the 75% off line. Financially I'm going to regret this but a couple days ago I picked up Half Life 2 plus Episode 1 and 2, all 3, for $6.47. Today with $23 left to my name until Thursday I tried so hard to resist but ended up getting Left 4 Dead and L4D2 for around $7.50. Unfortunately Skyrim (waiting so impatiently ha ha) still hasn't gotten down to my range yet. Hopefully it'll hold off until Thursday. Almost waited to see if the Witcher 2 would get down to 75% off (at 60% right now) but thought I would kick myself if I let the L4D's go.

Luckily I already have all of them.

I am just waiting to Crysis 2.

How far down is that right now? There's so much on there it's hard to keep up with ha ha. This is the first time I've ever seen such "controlled" chaos in a sale. I've been a member since May, 2011 only because at the time I had no internet so I figured I'd go to GameStop and get a game to pass the time. Little did I know I needed Steam for Mafia 2. So I finally got that settled but never really looked into Steam until not too long ago when SRTT went on sale earlier this year. Since then I've been keeping an eye on the weekend deals and midweek deals until I get punched in the face with this monstrosity a couple days ago ha ha. Damn garnishments!!

Been a member on Steam since January 7th, 2004, this sale is still the most chaotic yet :)

I take it they do this every summer? If so, at least I'll know to save some money for next year. Are there any other seasonal sales similar to this or is this the only or big one they have?

They have a big sale for every season (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.)

Summer and Christmas are the 2 big ones, with spring and fall being smaller.

Then the occasionally have sponsored weekends where the entire catalog of a publisher is on sale.

Nice I'll have to remember that. So would Fall be around October then?

One other stupid question. How do you "quote" someone here?
EDIT: Never mind I see it now ha ha. It's the heat I swear.

Yeah I've seen the publishers sales once in a while. I can just never afford a whole publisher catalog. Not right now anyway. I've been going for some of the $5 games here and there. Got LA Noire a couple weeks ago including all DLC's for a little over $7 and got Mass Effect 2 over at GameStop.com for $5 at 75% off.
