Flying up high into the stratosphere basically kicks the character out of the plane an the vehicle itself disappears.

That's an engine limitation that we can't work around.

UPDATE:
Completely revamped the mod compilation, everything is now much more convenient to install. Added some extra options too and fixed some stuff
