The Humble THQ Bundle- SR3 for around five bucks

I don't think this is to make cash so much as to show investors that there's interest in THQ's franchises (or franchise, since anybody buying at $5+ is doing it just for SR3)

in any case, I threw $10 into the pot even though I already own SR3. Hopefully it doesn't go to waste lol

Still a pity to see THQ like this, I liked a lot of its games, like the HotWheels games. Such nostalgia...

Well... I suppose now the hope is someone good gets ahold of the rights to the Saints Row franchise and deals with it in the way it deserves. Preferably I'd like Volition to do it, even if SR3 wasn't as good as SR2 it was still a good game and showed there's a lot of hope for a nice SR4. The chances of them surviving without THQ aren't exactly stellar, however.

Damn. That hard-up for cash? Well, maybe in 5 years after the franchise was abandoned after the death of THQ and then the assets and rights sold off to some publisher who just sits on it without any intent to use it.. we'll have the tools to pull apart SR2 and make it look modern (or even better yet future-modern) with new content and breaking all those annoying hard-coded restrictions. Something akin to what we're seeing happen with GTA:SA and MTA and the like (except we have multiplayer already!)

Our luck, EA will buy volition then it will all hit the fan and the saints will really be sold out

The Humble THQ Bundle is over, with 885,302 bundles sold for a total of $5,097,567.24.
I wonder what the final split was for THQ / Charity / Humble.

In case people still haven't managed to buy the game and missed the Humble Bundle, there's SR3 The Full Package for $12.49 on gamefly (for which I'd love to post the URL but can't because spamcatching etc; the googles should be able to find it, though.)
