Well... I suppose now the hope is someone good gets ahold of the rights to the Saints Row franchise and deals with it in the way it deserves. Preferably I'd like Volition to do it, even if SR3 wasn't as good as SR2 it was still a good game and showed there's a lot of hope for a nice SR4. The chances of them surviving without THQ aren't exactly stellar, however.
Damn. That hard-up for cash? Well, maybe in 5 years after the franchise was abandoned after the death of THQ and then the assets and rights sold off to some publisher who just sits on it without any intent to use it.. we'll have the tools to pull apart SR2 and make it look modern (or even better yet future-modern) with new content and breaking all those annoying hard-coded restrictions. Something akin to what we're seeing happen with GTA:SA and MTA and the like (except we have multiplayer already!)
