The Saints - Winamp Skin

In my free time, I'm a graphic designer..ish.

I made this Winamp skin for the fun of it and just because I could.
I tried to find a font matching the one use for the SR:TT and SR:IV Logo for the song title/artist. Futura was the best I could find.

AxlRocks for combining the Trading Card photos together into a blank wallpaper
aNdre-W from deviantart for original skin.
Volition for making Saints Row in the first place

Combined all the cards you uploaded and used a GIMP Plugin called Resynthesizer for a few small bits and made a blank one. I don't know if anyone else would want a blank one for wallpaper, but I figured I'd share in case.
^ and it's a good thing he did.

.rar file includes a readme telling where to install it.

I didn't know where to post, so I assumed Off-Topic was okay
If this type of thing should not be posted, please remove/delete it.

NOTE: Zimo's is not part of the actual Winamp skin

Do people even still use Winamp??

That's pretty awesome :) Good to see a use for that wallpaper outside of wallpaper haha Looks a lot better sized down as well since the light banding isn't really visible.

What is the alternative? Don't tell me it's YouTube.

That's what I use. Shit quality if compared to flac of course, which is the only way to go now if you're serious about keeping a digital collection. I'm in the process of converting what I do have on my external and main HDD to that, but that's a lot of time involved with re-ripping, re-downloading (or re-purchasing for some digital releases), etc. But since mp3 littered culture itself with its filthy, lossy ways, I'm stuck with a ton of lossy junk like many others are or were.

Drives me nuts considering the preservationist and audiophile I've become. I hate CD's to begin with, ripping to flac feels like a waste of time because they're complete garbage quality compared to DVD or Blu-ray, or best of all, vinyl. But, gotta work with what I have in the meantime I guess. Youtube's convenient and let's me fill my HDD with other content while I work on flac-ing my audio collection.

That said, I actually prefer VLC at the moment for when I do play from the HDD.

VLC Media Player.
Same as me. Have been a VLC and Winamp user for years, they work good so I had no need to find another program.

Thanks and thank you for combining them and yeah, the banding shouldn't have been there in the first place, imo. :p

Most of my music is flac unless I absolutely can't find discographies/songs in the format. Plus, .flac sounds like a whole different song compared to .mp3's. They're so much clearer for quality. Like those comments on Youtube that are like, "Watch in 720p (or 1080p) for a whole different song!" other than Youtube, I'm a torrent freak for my music.
