In SR3, the Gangsters in Space DLC and SR4 the Boss would reveal bits and pieces of their lives. So here's my theory to try and tie everything together.
For one it seems like each voice option has a different origin. For example the Hispanic Boss had a father who safe to assume was either a gun collector or a black-market weapons dealer. The British Boss likely lived with his abusive uncle in a lower class neighborhood in London and moved to Stilwater to get away from him. The Russian Boss likely lived in a low-income area in Moscow and decided to join the Red Army to support her family while her cousin went off to fight in Serbia. (Talks about her "comrades", "Niko", "fighting dogs" and "Russian Spec-Ops"). Nolan may have been an aspiring actor before joining the Saints. While the Default Bosses in SR3 and SR4 are siblings whom at one point lived with their dad who may have been either neglectful or abusive towards them. It's also possible that the brother may have at one point snapped and killed him. (One of the qoutes from SR3's Default male Boss mentions how "back in the day he murdered people in the fresh air").
