so, I've got the feeling that Volition is caving to the loud people who want Saints Row to be a gritty crime sandbox again, and intends to reboot. And that this is their caveat to those of us who want an over the top superhero game, splitting the gameplay off into a new series.
I'm strongly concerned that this game is not going to have character customization based on the character intros. They seem to have very specific thematic elements to each of them to give them personality, which however will likely rob the player of the ability to customize their avatar to their own choices.
