Wear certain hairstyles with shirts that have hoods?

Can a modder make it possible for us to wear hairstyles (like lopsided) with coats and shirts that have hoods? It always switches to ponytails and annoys me. I know clipping might be an issue, but could you guys try it anyway?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but weren't there be flags in the customization file that determine thing like hat hair hood hair etc.?

I'll try to make this mod on the weekend, it quite annoyed me too.

The great thing (maybe not that great) is that the "final hairstyle" depends on the blouse/coat/shirt, not the hairstyle itself, so it's the same for all the hairstyles. If I just find the best one that fits the certain clothing piece, it may for sure improve the game. A bit.

Well, seeing as there's only 3 that change (I think?) you might be able to make a mod for each, one that changes it to lopsided, the other Egyptian princess and the last one I'm forgetting.

Or, just make it different for each. Dunno, you're the modder. I'm just the guy that asks you to do it.

Been using this for a while, I just went through the customization_item file and got rid of all hat hair. This leads to a lot of clipping, but you have the option to pick whatever hair you want for whatever you put on your head. I never thought it properly refined for a release, but it's more or less what you asked for. More work for player...less for modder.

Oh sweet that's awesome. Thanks.

Can you tell us how you did this? I installed this mod and the only changes were with the hood-up hoodies. I'd rather go through and remove all blocked instances of the hair I want.

All I did was remove instances of <Flag>hat active</Flag> and <Flag>use hat hair</Flag> from clothing, as well as <Slot>head hair</Slot> as an obscured slot. This made nearly all hoodies and hats show hair even whehn they shouldn't, you could do this in 2 minutes with a replace function to get everything, but I never felt like testing what happens when hair doesn't obscure the hair slot.
