This was my theory when talking about it with my friends. They have yet to put any rules on how the Zin's time travel works so it may be entirely possible that they could completely subvert one or more Saints Row plots in the future.
They could even pull a Star Trek and send Gat back in time to before the first game and redo the franchise with two Gats! Or maybe Shaundi would be a better choice for that?

Would it also be possible to get Aisha back? As well as Fun Shaundi? Maybe even Carlos!?!?!? Or would this mess with history or leave it unhindered?
Yeah, depending on how they want to approach time travel as a concept, they can do all sorts of things. Re-write a single timeline or deal with branches into multiple timelines (parallel dimensions)...I wonder if they are going to tackle it in any form?

Indeed, they would make great postcards. What if the boss traveled back in time to get Oleg and that was the reason why he did not answer his phone, and the cut scene was non-canon?
As much as I'd like to have Aisha, Carlos, and Lin officially coming back... their deaths actually sparked an action from the Saints. If they were removed from their timeline even seconds before their deaths were to occur, they would have less reason to take the course of actions they did, and in all likelihood, it would create a paradox of cataclysmic proportions for the Saints, especially considering how widespread and renown they are by their Presidency in SR4.
...Of course then again, Zinyak did get his hands on J.A. and others without irreversibly shattering the timeline, so who's to say they can't pull it off? They could snag a body double for Carlos and Lin without some sharp temporal backlash right? The Syndicate DID have cloning technology, Oleg was just their template.

But wouldn't that make the boss a dinosaur? And if he were do you think he would have time traveled to cause that kind of change in human history? Completely off setting time and catching it in a infinite loop of impossible nature which could lead to a black hole sucking earth in before zinyak had a chance to rule over humanity! Which means time never happened at all or it simply resets itself.
Implying Boss isn't a dinosaur in a human hologram so no one knows. Unlike his father who used a latex skin and has to air it out now and then with a fan.
