It's that time of year again! SGDQ 2015 is in progress. It's a nearly-week-long videogame speedrunning marathon. That means they're completing games as fast as possible. What strategies are permitted varies by the category, such as "glitchless" meaning not using glitches, "100%" meaning...

I'm not sure I understand the question. If you have the Java runtime installed, just double-click the .jar file. If your file associations are messed up, you can run it from a command line with, "javaw -jar <filename>".

This is, uh, a thing. Interesting. I think I like it, but I was very confused when it started out sounding like some kind of cheap, copyright-skirting ripoff. But it got better.

I don't know whether it's possible, but it's a perfectly reasonable request.

Try just one mod at a time. If they work individually, try them together. If more than one mod includes an .asm file with the same name, you'll have to run Stream2Update from Minimaul's tools (in the tools releases forum) to get them to play nice with each other.

You are in no way required to buy the GOG version. Jon's cursory analysis doesn't even make it sound like an improvement, though I truly hope it is or will be an improvement, somehow.

I think if you are not using the same mods, that might cause it. If i remember right, co-op also requires more video memory.

The files that define the vehicles, their models, and so on are all contained in the data files you have with the game. They are extracted using modding tools, although you may not be able to edit all of them, depending on which modding tools are available yet. If you're looking for exported...

We don't lock threads unless there's a good reason, and (unlike most forums) necromancy is perfectly accepted, but I take it from the context that this should be locked as the mod is definitely not going to exist.

It's true, I'd love to see some SR action in there. For whatever reason, I don't think it's a highly popular series to speedrun, but I think there are some runs out there. They've had GTA games at the marathons, so there should be no problem with the content.

@Punisher88888 See snickelb's post, about half a page ago. I've been looking for a good 3-way merge tool and haven't thoroughly explored the options. I like the one IntelliJ IDEA uses, but I don't think you can use that outside the IDE itself. :)
