Visuals & Graphics HD Textures Pack Mod

Do you wait for Finished! to appear in the command window? It takes about 20 minutes to process all the files on my computer. As Hevon hasn't been around since March I'll PM a mod to see if I can upload the modified version of the mod.

Visuals & Graphics HD Textures Pack Mod

OK I've written a batch file that will patch Hevon's original HD texture mod. Just place Hevon's original files in the Put Original Files Here folder. Double click the patchme batch file. Once it has finished the patched files will be in the Put Original Files Here folder. Let me know if it...

Visuals & Graphics HD Textures Pack Mod

OK I've analysed the mod and it looks like it has some really big textures in it. According to Microsoft any DirectX 10 card must support textures of at least 8192x8192 in size (there isn't a limit I know of for DirectX 9 but it was usually 4096x4096). This mod contains a texture that is twice...

    What Will happen After SRIV?

I think Volition will produce a casual game under the Proffesor Genki name. It will be called Prof. Genki's Super Ethical Panda-Moan-ium. Where the Prof. G tries to save the panda population from extinction by pimping out pandas. Unfortunately hackers will re-enable the hidden Splintered...

    Peg file format

Thank you so much for this. From and initial glance the data now seems to line up much better for the SR3 peg files. I need to run some tests when I get some time off work and to myself (usually at about 1 o'clock in the morning). I'm working on the assumption that any pointers ( *data...

Visuals & Graphics HD Textures Pack Mod

The people having problems with missing textures. Are you running a 32 bit version of windows? SRTT has the LAA (Large Address Aware) flag set. This means on a 64 bit version of windows the game can use up to 4GB of memory. (Of course it isn't that simple in practice. Accidentally cast a...

Something to keep you busy until the SDK can be released...

Cool thanks for this. Just one problem. Avira Antivir flags the file sr2_vehicle_table_crunch.exe as a virus (TR/ATRAPS.Gen). I'm safe to assume it's a false positive.

    SR3 Texture Utilities

New version (v6) hot off the presses. I've now added some optional command line parameters to the two utilities. These are: SR3UnpackTextures [optional parameters] <cpeg file name> Optional parameters: -o:<output directory> Set the directory that the textures are extracted to, instead...

    SRTT German Low violence fix

I doubt Volition could fix the German version as basically that version is enforced by the German government. It's the law and irrespective of what Volition thinks of that law they have to obey it. I guess what they could do is temporary turn a full violence version to the the low violence...

Steelport Gangs DLC fixes - now with earring morph fix!

This is so cool. Thank you Volition. I almost feel sorry for my sarcastic derision over the original release. :)

    SR2 Retexture Help

It looks like the peg format in SR3 has a few extra bits of data in it. :( I think I've got most of the data to line up. Do you know what the differences are between the 2 formats?

    SRTT HUD Format

I've just discovered how the game maps the HUD texture sheets into individual textures. In misc_tables.vpp_pc there are several xtbl files that start with ui_bms. Each one corresponds to their relative texture and contains a list of co-ordinates for each element in that texture. i.e. <Table>...

    SR2 Retexture Help

Thanks for the info. I couldn't work out what some of the data in the peg files was for. So I could only edit an existing peg and not create a new one. I take it pal format/size refers to palette format and size which as you say is obsolete. I guess any data with (runtime) is basically junk...

    SRTT Artist outsource documents

Looking at Kelly Snapka's blog it looks like you guys created a bunch of technical documents for when you outsource the creation of art assets. (He has an example of how the vehicles are constructed, although it's a little too low res to be entirely useful). Are you planning on making these...

    Player Clothes Texture error?

It looks like your laptop uses a hybrid graphics system. It has 2 graphics cards (one fast but power hungry the other slower but power efficient) and is supposed to switch between them on the fly. The problem is that windows isn't designed to do this and they generally cause more problems than...

    SRTT HUD Format

They are dds files but are referenced as tga files by the game files. I guess Volition work with tga files during development and instead of renaming all the references to dds files they stick with the tga extension.

    SRTT HUD Format

Most of the HUD texture files are in misc.vpp_pc -> interface_backend.cpeg_pc/gpeg_pc. If you unpack the container you'll get lots of files prefixed with ui_bms. i.e. These are most of the HUD texture files. Basically it looks like any file that starts with ui_bms is to do with the HUD. I...

SRTT Alignment rules of the files.

No particular file format. I noticed when decoding the texture file formats (for the pc) that the texture data was aligned to 16 bytes. However I'll wait until you guys let us know more about the file formats.

SRTT Alignment rules of the files.

Hi Mike, Thank you so much for your and Volition's support of the modding community. I have so many questions but I'll wait until we get some more info from yourselves before I ask them. Anyway I wanted to ask about the alignment of the data in the files. Am I right in the assumption that...
