No :(. My interest in working on this waxes and wanes and since it is at a low right now I haven't been putting anytime into it. But with Gat out of Hell coming out soon (and hopefully followed by the next release of the SDK) my interest may increase.
Not at the moment. The files have a texture list but it is a mystery on how the textures get mapped to materials within the cmesh files. Once the next version of the Volition SDK is released I was going to run a few experiments to try and figure it out. But I am in wait mode for now.
There is a way to zoom the camera out. Take a look at this post. It explains some of the settings in the camera_free.xtbl file.

OK. I have actually seen that before while I was experimenting with moving this tool to a WPF GUI. The problem is if you look at the front of a poly you will see it but if you look at the back of a poly it looks invisible. Unless you tell the renderer to draw both the front and back faces of the...
Does the model look OK in the tool before you export? If so then what you are seeing are the different levels of detail (LOD) of the model. Most of the character models have four LODs and my tool only shows the highest LOD but still exports all four LODs. So basically whatever tool you import...
Meatplowz gave me the impression that the tools for character/clothing import were very similar (if not the same) as the tools for weapon import. It was more of a question of how long it would take to prepare the templates. But of course no exact date can be given since the Volition staff are...
Sounds like you are doing the right steps but some models will not open in this tool. It has to do with me not knowing all of the flags and optional bits that may show up in a model. I can tell you that the file you are trying to open has never been tested by me. I do have some improvements to...
As far as I know it isn't possible to mod the animations yet. They have plans for it in the SDK but that is far into the future. However there is one trick that I can think of to get around the "up the skirt" cam and that is to modify the camera settings. Try changing the settings in the...
You are still a little early. The first release of the mod tools are available but that only allows you to modify weapons. And I am aware of a mesh viewer ;) but not of an editor. So the community is still waiting for the second release of mod tools, that is the one that will allow modifying...
Although notepad++ is a good tool it may not be the best way to go about merging two mods. I would recommend using WinMerge http://winmerge.org/. Compare each mod to the vanilla table to see what has changed. This should give you a good idea if it is possible to merge the mods and of how much...
I would be happy too. So far I'm not having any luck getting the FBX templates to open in Blender.
Edit: Apparently some of the files are in ASCII format and others are binary. Blender only likes the binary FBX files (like the Maya version of the ratstick).

It certainly isn't the direction I would have picked for the next game but I am willing to at least play it first before passing judgement on it.
I would love to see Volition/Deep Silver embrace the modding community upfront instead of after the fact. It would be cool if they released clothing item templates (and other modding tools) for SRV before the game comes out. That way modders can get a head start and have things ready to go when...
This tool has a YAML file. When you download MV_1.6.7z and open the archive there will be a "TextureMap.yaml" file included. It will be in the same directory as the MV.exe
