frankly all this gta Vs saints row crap is pissing me off. (this is a bit of a rant...)

in my opinion that was kinda a low and desperate move from Volition, one of my friends even said it was some kind of attempt by Volition to Troll Rockstar, yeah right... like if Rockstar would care.
Seemed more like they were making a joke to me. I thought it was funny as hell.

I don't really worry over the whole SR vs GTA comparison. It happens, but they're very different games by this point.. in fact, very different games than they started with for their own series. The companies have grown too behind them.
I think there's lots of space on the internet to have both.. and yes there IS a lot of copying back and forth. It's good. It means that there's ideas on both that are worth implementing in other games. Everyone always complains that "They stole that from Game Y" but what they also fail to realize is that game Y stole from game X, from W, from right back to A. Innovation doesn't mean you throw out everything and start 100% from scratch. If that was the case, there wouldn't be a thing as a genre. And we wouldn't have any new games, because the very idea of a computer game is copied right from Spacewar and so on. Things are copied, used, improved. The thing that matters is how the game is, not what other games it's like. Sure you compare, but compare to see which does whatever BETTER, not that "Oh they did it first!"

Although, what I DO take offense to is the idea that somehow GTA:V deserves 100% scores. That's just asinine. Or idiots. Or bribery/strongarming. I did laugh at a webcomic on the escapist however.. it fits their review not giving it some perfect score to follow lock-step. My guess is they're not big enough for R* to pressure them, unlike say IGN/Xbox Gamer/PS Gamer/etc.
yeah. i doubt gta V is perfect....may be great but it is only a matter of time before the bugs come out to wreck your shit.

Hello.

To me, I love and hate them both.
I love Saints Row series, because you can create your very own character instead of using fixed character.
I love Grand Theft Auto series, because it has a very large map/world to explore.
If only there's a high-end graphics modern world criminal game have both of that, I would be so happy that I could die peacefully.

The thing about gta 5 that was such a let down for me is the fact that they are not interested in a PC release. Once the game is over and the multiplayer gets boring you roll the credits.

Meanwhile after sr4's mod tools release you are probably going to end up uninstalling and reinstalling sr4 multiple times over the next few years

PC version will probably come with the next gen version, it will be kinda dumb to not come to PC when the PC GTA IV still selling pretty well while being a shit port. Since when they port for PC and next gen they will need to up the textures and draw distance from the current consoles version, might as well release a lower detail one first and a higher detail one later.

When it come to PC I'll probably buy it for the story stuff (provided the port is not crap like GTA IV), I never really enjoy GTA games much. Saints Row was the first open world game that I finished it and kept going back again and again.

It will come to PC. It would make 0% sense if it wouldn't.

I am now not buying GTA5 anymore, not after Rockstar give us the finger and put us as third class citizens in the Gaming World, they basically made fun of us.

Rockstar always treat PC as the third class citizen, all PC GTA games got delayed and some like Red Dead Redemption didnt even get released on PC.

Yeah, they are ungrateful Studios... the odd thing is that GTA started as a MS-DOS game, they just go where the money is and give the finger to the rest... you got to love Volition for sticking with PC and support it heavily.
