Gamespot servers are down. You can still do LAN coop locally, or online with VPN tunneling software like Evolve or Tunngle.
i would kill for a re-port of saints row 2. >w< the pc one is horrid. though you made it playable. it still has a long way to go before it can be universally modder friendly.
 
Compatible with GotR, yes. Not sure about coop between them though. I have fuzzy memories that it restricts coop if the exe's don't match (which they wouldn't.)

I recently got the GOG.com version of SR2 during their recent giveaway and attempted to install GotR. I ran into the following issue: When building the patch, only the preload.tbl and preload_anim.tbl files are created in the MY_CUSTOM_PATCH folder. No patch.vpp_pc is created no matter which options I select. Also, the batch file deletes itself after execution (only the batch file). Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I was trying the most current build, 1.9.2.

Question answered on GOG.com. ZoneAlarm interferes with and actually aborts the installation/patch creation process in the middle. Just had to shut it down to build the mod, working great now, off to play!
 
I had the same issue with Bitdefender Internet Security til I removed it.
 
Just some things:

Investigating the files (and gameplay) the AS12 Riot is supposed to be Semi-Automatic (like the Pistols) and is supposed to use the "83 and 84 Weapons" sound files.
I tried changing the stats to be more accurate to what they were in SR1 (based on the wiki and over info) and that worked, but atm, it's just getting the sounds working, so if anyone knows where the sound strings are located, tell me via pm or message.

Here's the code for a proper function AS12 Riot from SR1, incl. Semi-Auto, Sounds, etc
 
I entered that code into my weapons.xtbl file then rebuild my patch and this has caused my game to freeze at 40% loading. It stays there on that number, I had to end the game by using task manager!

A freeze at 40% means there was an error in an xtbl, so maybe the sound was left over code from sr1 or an earlier build from sr2. @glenquagmire71 did you test it?
