Nice. At this rate, you'll hurt the rule's feelings.

I recall enjoying the SR3 mission packs quite a bit, moreso the Genki and Space ones than the Clone one, perhaps. I haven't tried any SR4 ones yet.

Yeah, me too. I really thought the SRTT's DLC missions where some of the best missions in the game. I totally agree, however, they did feel short for the price. However EtD is pretty crappy.....and short, and a bit buggy. Clones was my favorite. "Bounce like my checks did back in the day" Classic SRTT.

Clarification:
SR 2: Worst DLC Ever.
SRTT: Some good stuff that was over priced, mixed with crap... a lot of crap.
SR4: Cheap crap...but still crap....better then SR 2 DLC.....I guess.

Core games = good DLC = crappy.

The dlc which i want is mission pack with at least some 10 lenthy missions combined with many new vehicles with its vehicle customizations , new weapons which has its own skins customizations not just new skins for existing weapons , many clothings with separate pieces not just outfits in which every cloth piece is combined into a single thing , many tattoos , many hairstyles and some activities like racing from saints row 2 with some 4-8 npc's with cars and bikes and air vehicles . For these i would gladly dish out 20 $ .

The small packs like the grass roots or money shot pack for example are a completw and utter pisstake, this shit makes me feel like im paying for an incomplete game, not to mention pre-order/day one dlc takes this pisstake even further, if I pay £40 for a game I want the whole game not just what devs think I should have, and also 'on-disc' dlc is wrong, last tine I checked dlc stood for 'DOWNLOADABLE' content

Got no complaints about thw mission packs although they're kinda small they're priced accordingly

I liked how if you had the Money Shot DLC in SRTT the cops would comment on the Sniper Rifle thing... saying "what kind of GUN is that?" and stuff. It actually added to the game and made me feel like "Yeah, you SHOULD be scared of this gun, I paid for it".

Generally speaking, DLC is a great possibility for the developers to further expand their game beyond what they could've done during the "base game" development phase.

In regards to SRIV: I feel like whoever is in charge is repeating the course they went through with SR:TT - not enough content, too many packages. I really don't think that 2 character skins, 2 weapons and 2 vehicles should be in one small package priced at $2.99. Those hillbilly, wild west, super hero and pirate skins/weapons/vehicles all follow a certain general theme that is costumes, not casual wear or anything that's basic or realistic. Those "costumes" could've been included in one "big" DLC bundle that's priced appropriately (no more than $10). Furthermore, I myself am not a fan of micro-DLC; Even though the SRIV DLC itself is better quality-wise, it's too tedious to purchase a new pack every other week. I think that for us consumers, larger "themed" DLC packs would be a better option financially.

I think that more content per-DLC would also make us feel less betrayed - I am talking about on-disk DLC. Patches are great, they really are (and they're essential) but it seems that one of their purposes is to prepare the ground for future DLC - literally, as future DLC is usually installed with a patch as well. It comes down to how rushed the developers must be to complete DLC content before the next patch is sent to be put out. Give them some peace!

I'm a fan of the cosmetic DLC, I don't mind paying a few bucks to get a bunch of costumes. I don't regret buying them, but the content you get for the price they're asking is a bit low. I would prefer it if the DLC packs also contained an activity in addition to extra costumes/skins/vehicles.

Take the Pirate & Superhero packs for instance. It would have been great if there was a new diversion that you could do when you enter the pirate ship car. Rob as many stores as you can with your crew of pirate homies while respawning Zin pirate ships chase you until the time limit runs out. Or for the superhero pack, add a few small dynamic events. Stop the Zin from beating up a random homie. It doesn't have to be anything complicated. You can do other stuff with it. Add a bunch NPC's wearing the costumes. Add the possibility to encounter a hostile NPC superhero. Have a bunch of costumed NPC's drive around in their themed vehicles at cause chaos. Just something extra to encounter while you're out in Steelport.

As for the DLC mission packs, they're a bit short. EtD at least gave you a bunch of vehicles, weapons and homies to play with outside of missions. I liked The Trouble with Clones & Gangsta's in Space because they were really funny, but in Genkibowl the activities all felt a bit disconnected from each other.

I will probably get a few packs I like when they're on sale.
Like the ones for SRTT which were about 30ct during this year's summer sale.

Not a fan of the small DLC packs but loved the Saints row 2 "Missions & cosmetics bundle" DLC packs.

I concur with this. SR3 had a similar problem where all the DLC clothing was for the sake of playing Halloween, with very little "normal" clothing. I'm sure the average player doesn't care about this, but I'm still miffed that there are very little "realistic" face masks. No ski-masks, no paintball masks (one of my favorites from SR2), hell, even the doorag from SR3 is no longer in the game from what I can tell. (That Apocalyptic outfit in the upcoming free pack looks to have a lower face mask, but there's no way to tell if it's a separate piece or just part of a full body mesh, and that would suck)

I do like that SR4's DLC packs so far feel more "complete", in that they have a little of everything rather than focusing solely on clothes or vehicles, and we aren't getting a pack a week, with half the packs already existing on the disc. It makes it feel more special when a new pack comes out.
