Minigun Madness

Is it possible yet to either a: change the fire mode of a gun through its coding or b: swap weapon skins? I ask because I REALLY want to have that default burst rifle to fire full auto, or have its skin on the full auto rifle.
Technically speaking, yes. I can see what I can do, the high priority on my list is making sure that all the skins work for a series of new guns.

-Lever Action Rifle
-M4 carbine
- Mac 10
-Swat SMG
- Burst Rifle

I've made stand alone duplicates to try and make it so more weapons are separate rather than just costumes.

Changing a weapons fire style is as easy as finding the item in the weapons.xtbl.
Then fine the "<Trigger_Type>" Line for said weapon and changing it.
There are 4 types: <Trigger_Type>single</Trigger_Type>; <Trigger_Type>automatic</Trigger_Type>; <Trigger_Type>charge release</Trigger_Type>; And <Trigger_Type>burst</Trigger_Type>

Change the burst to automatic and then place the saved file into the root folder for SR4.

Changing skins is a little trickier and calls for modifying the "weapon_skins.xtbl" file, which I haven't quite figured out yet...

Now REALLY off Subject... Joe When are you going to do some skin mods... I've got 2 I'll give ya :)
One is purple M16 (well purple furniture and a redish upper/lower) and a 2 tone Gang pistol (tweaked the Onxy gang skin).

I do like those, and don't think I've forgotten my old Tacticool ways like my SR3 mod. What I want to do is give as much variety as possible first though. I like both of those a lot, but I want to make sure we don't replace any textures in the game with the new skin setup. :)

So, time will tell which direction my mod goes. For now... well, for now I just want to see just how many weapons SR4 can handle before I hit the limit.

I'm VERY new to modding, and I can't even decipher what xtbl files say even with Notepad ++ :(. Could someone do this for the burst rifle, and maybe add it as a separate weapon, and send me a link to the file?

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but whenever I install the weapon_upgrades.xtbl a lot of my upgrades disappear. :( Any ideas?

Well, I started changing all the upgrade prices to 1, but I realized changing a few hundred hours would take me a while, and I have school tomorrow. Anyways, best of luck, and let's see how it all turns out.
EDIT: Found a mod that makes all upgrades free. Yay not doing any work! Also, I edited two rifles in the weapons.xtbl and changed them from burst to automatic...going to find out if it worked.
EDIT EDIT: Editing the weapons.xtbl worked! Only issue with the full auto is that the recoil is ridiculous. :p
