Oh, come on guys! HAWP! If you don't know then your in for one hell of a treat. This has literally been my favorite piece of DLC to be released for SR yet, however it depends highly on my knowledge of who they are. More then a few episodes reference Saints Row The Third, so it's kinda cool that they took the time to put them in game. I suppose it counts more like an inside joke type thing. As for $2.99.....I don't know, I really don't think any of the content is over priced, just generally miss guided. I think content like this is totally fair to release at $2.99. If your a fan of them then it's totally worth it. If not then....not so much. It's like if they released Idol Ninja, and Minimaul as homies. That'd be awesome! I'd totally pay $2.99 for more of our online community to make appearances in game. I'd pay $5.99 to have Knobby (V) as a homie! Of course no Saints Row homie pack would be complete without Shitface! A bundle featuring Shitface, Knobby, Idol, and Minimaul....I'd by that for a dollar!*
*A dollar in 1985 currency after inflation equals $2.19. However, I'd pay as much as $5 in 1985 money.....maybe $6.
While we are on the topic of inflation, did you know that in 1985 NES games cost $40 to $50? Factoring inflation that was about $100 to $110 a piece. So in fact games have come down by $50 since 1985. Math is fun.
but I don't want to be a homie...^A very good point. If an Idol and Minimaul pack were released, most of us would think it was awesome, but everybody else in existence wouldn't know who the hell they were, (well, more likely, they would take to complaining on Facebook about how it's DLC for DLC or how GTA5 would never do something like that or some other bullpiss.
That's one way to look at it.
The fact is, the companies now just cut tons of corners when it comes to cheap labor, cheap parts, cheap this, and cheap that. Back in the 80's, a lot of the manufacturing/assembly line work was being done in the US, and many had unions backing them so they were paid well. These days these game companies outsource a lot of the work. Sure, developers are still being paid well but they are only a part of what goes into the whole process. Not only are the game companies cutting corners, but Walmart is the biggest game seller in the US. And well they can sell the games for less because they underpay their workers and cut tons of other corners as well.
And no, it isn't Obama's fault, or Bush's, it is Reagan and Clinton's, at least partially. Of course we didn't know this when we were voting for them because journalistic integrity went out the window when people realized more money can be made by taking pictures of celebrities picking their noses.
We are so off topic it's insane! I'm actually frightened and confused on how we got to the social/political effects of consumerism! This DLC truly inspires open and honest debate! Personally I just liked the dick jokes. You call companies underpaying employees, discriminating against minorities, outsourcing our jobs to communist countries, and destroying the unions and the middle class, capitalism?
That's amusing.
It's called corporationism by many liberals, I myself however am not a liberal. I'm an old school democrat who believes the democrats should go back to prioritizing the middle class, bringing jobs back to the US even if it means regulation, and stop pandering to minority groups just to seem cool. I don't know why they bother, they don't keep the promises they make to the minority groups anyways. Bush promised the Christian right he'd overturn Roe Vs. Wade, and they bought into it like fools. There was no way he'd be able to keep that promise. And Obama talked about an easier way to citizenship but under Obama, more undocumented citizens have been deported than under Bush, not that I have an issue with that since they are breaking the law. The point is, things are kind of a mess right now because the rich have way too much control of things, oh I mean the job creators.. well they're job creators if you live in China and enjoy making a quarter an hour or work at Walmart and enjoy eating Top Ramen while living in a rathole.
That's the most epic statement ever! Pirates, of course, superhero costumes, obviously, Dildo tank, without a doubt, but the cast of HAWP is what gets you! Not the tank with the huge dildo attached....two siblings and their father...However, to keep it in perspective, they are more famous the the porn stars in SR 2.This is the first Saints Row DLC pack that I don't get. I mean the powerful vehicles make sense, the pirate costumes make sense since the pirate thing is hip these days, but what do three generic nerdy homies have to do with anything? Were they in an earlier game?

It's a web show. It's hilarious. Prepare for funny!
