SRTT (Or SRIV)Is map editing possible? Or ill it ever be?

I was reading a thread about maps and read that the save system doesnt support loading seperate levels.

But what if I just wanted to edit/add-on to steelport without actually creating a new level just edit the existing one, im an avid level editor and would love nothing more to be able to on saints row.

I'm pretty familiar too with level editing...I have over 750 hours of level editing using Valve Hammer Editor.I have lots of ideas about what should I add into the simulation.I'm thinking about making some arenas and a new survival activity where you have to fight countless waves of enemies from sr1 gangs to murderbots and superpowered aliens.

This has come up many times both internally and externally. We would love to do it, but it is going to take some serious effort and probably a change in how much we are embracing modding in order for it to happen with our editor. It comes down to Deep Silver and/or Volition being willing to pay people to work on it. It will take so many people and so much time that doing it on the weekends or after work just isn't feasible.

Honestly, you should ask them about making it available as a DLC, at least at first.

You'll tick off some people who will cry "OMG Bethesda gives us this for free!!11lotsofones" but at the same time, there are a lot of dedicated modders who are fans of you(V) and the series and would be willing to pay a small amount for a level editor.
