Rare Vehicle Cheats (includes Additional Cheats) v5

It's one of the reward unlocks for Genki bowl. I'm not sure if you get it after beating all the Genki escort ones, or if it's at the end itself when you finally beat all the Sad Panda Skyblazing stuff.

Well, I meant more as a cheat, actually, LOL. But I'll try and complete the Genki stuff. Never all that good at driving., though. :)

Thanks, anyway!

DLC assets can't be added as cheats from both a technical and an ethical standpoint.

Well, 'unlocking' a DLC asset, without someone actually owning the DLC, would not work anyway, right? (Like trying to get superpowers in the sandbox mod, sans owning the Troubles with Clones DLC).

Also, to clarify, I bought and own every bit of DLC for SR3, of course. I just suck at driving straight, is all, LOL; and I wanted to see whether it could be unlocked otherwise.

I'm not doubting that you own it. I'm just saying that there are technical issues that prevent a player from adding a dlc vehicle/gun/clothing as a cheat. This will not work and is the technical part of it I mentioned. The ethical point I was trying to make is that we would not allow it on this site, even if it did work.

Not sure I fully understand the 'super ethical' aspect of unlocking this Genki DLC vehicle from a DLC you already own; but I don't want to come off as even remotely wanting to do something unethical, so I'll just take your word for it. :)

It *does* bring up another question I had, though.

You know the mod that turns your heli's into boats, right? I hesitated changing anything on my Saints VTOL (which is DLC, right?), worried I might not ever be able to restore it, should I mess it up. Seems I was right to fear that, as, from the looks of it, I would indeed never be able to retrieve it, in its original state, right?

I can see why there might be some misunderstanding, so allow me to clarify. I was speaking in general terms regarding the ethicality of accessing DLC assets. If someone was able to find a way to create a cheat that gave a player a dlc vehicle, and was able to prove that the player needed to own the DLC for it to actually work, then there would be zero problem. I was originally speaking in general terms that it would be unethical and against this site's rules for a mod to do that if it enabled everyone to use it; i.e. both people who own and do not own the DLC.

I would always be cautious about customizing DLC or unique reward vehicles if you are even slightly concerned about restoring them to their original state. My advice would be to create a backup save first.

Thanks for the in-depth explanation. :)

Yeah, I kinda forgot, the vehicles are stored in your savegames themselves (and not on a STEAM server somewhere); so, next time, I'll make a backup first. :)

Darn! Was playing "A STAG Film" mission last night, and was hoping they'd give me that special Saints Tornado you fly around in. They don't. :( It's not a DLC vessel; so, is there any way to unlock it anyway?

Thanks.

Did you read the OP or readme file?

The mission I was in was called "A STAG Film" (the very last mission). Heli Assault in an activity, right? Anyway, got it all sorted out now. :) And it wasn't actually a Tornado, but a Vulture, it seems.

Thx, anyway.

P.S. Too bad those Vultures cause the top of your head to stick out thru a roof glass a bit. That's fugly. :)
