SAINTS OR SINNERS-Idea for new saints row series

what i mean is a lot of people gun down sr series because its different, but its different in a good way it is not gta it is saints row it is its own franchise it also is a innovative game series it pushes the limits ,look at how many mission types we have activities types we have
I agree there my friend. Saints row is its own series. More realistic than grand theft auto from my point of view. And it doesn't take a year or two behind schedule to get them finished on time like gta5. Either way it doesn't matter to who owns what company, i just put this together so we could get some ideas together. So far me and 3 other people seem to like the grappling hook. Maybe we should make up a drawing or design.

Although I do give props for Volition for actually trying to help the modding community with the SDK. Unlike Rockstar where until GTA 5 they didn't really support modding. I'm very curious about the grappling hook idea. I loved the Grapple Hook in Just Cause and the Whip-Fist in Prototype. Especially since SR2 at one point was supposed to have what appeared to be a similar weapon alongside what appears to be a crossbow (later on added in Gat out of Hell) and a spear as shown in this piece of concept art.

I like the grappling hook idea there. And thank you for posting a picture. I guess it would be argued wether it be thrown as shown here or shot from a gun since a lot of people are aposed to learning how to do things the old fashioned way lmao. Me personaly i think it would work out more realistic being thrown.

Edit:
Did i miss something here?
Are those weapons actualy in saints row 2?
If so why the hell did they remove them?
Those are cool as hell:cool:

I really want to see the sun. There is no sun (only moon) in SR IV :(
But in GTA V

Love to watch sunset.
Alright. So far we have established we need some cool realistic new weapons similar ti the images above( personaly i love that crossbow). And we know we need a realistic day and night cycle as admixon has pointed out. What if that crossbow could be used as a multiple attack weapon. It shoots arrows for quiet kills, shoots our grappling hook, and can have explosive tips added.

And of course Saints Row Online (with possibility to play online with mods*) :)
I know I compare SR to GTA but GTA have a lot of features that could be in future Saints Rows.
* in GTA San Andreas you were able to play in multiplayer on custom map with mods.

Well it's just a piece of concept art so it could of been some rough drafts that were never modeled in and coded or they could still be in the games files for all we know. Strangely enough the only weapons from that image that made it into SR2 (at least from what the community knows) were the Micro-Uzi and the Silenced Pistol and even then they were only accessible by modding the games files as shown with Gentlemen of Stilwater.

I think the samari sword does exist in saints row the third files. If i remember correctly it exists in the weapons.xtbl but is listed as oldsr2 file.

I think that might be the entry for the Dual Swords from SR2. (Although i'm not entirely sure). Strangely enough the XTBL files reference a "Nanite Rifle" that was likely added into SR4 in the form of the Disintegrator\Kaiju XL, a crowbar, the Pipe-Bomb from SR2 and a bunch of entries for the Stilwater civilians from SR2/ (Although it was likely used as a coding base for the new Steelport civilians in SR3).
