SPOILERS Saints Row (2022) official info

They added new and removed old features. The CC lacks of the sliders SR3/4 had so you can't recreate your boss from previous games or maybe you can but it's hard. Also yea, breast size at 100 looks like breast size at 50 in SR3/4.
I'm very happy you can finally pick custom colors from RGB slider and apply them to anything (hair, makeup, clothing, etc)
Thats why i decide not to ruin my SR2 character or even recreated my SRIV character its gonna ruin their face... But it looks like they have two tone color for the hairstyle im gonna use it and combine it with white hair mixed with pink glowing...

I'm gonna say the breast still looks good in SR2 not gonna lie they even censored the nipple for the male gender too i dunno why they do that 😶

So I read your response and sat on it. I really do understand it. There's a lot of work that goes into tweaking stuff in the current system. But I guess I just have to wonder: Does being sex positive require tearing something else down to bring yourself up?

That's part of what bothered me about her posting. Calling herself the 'professional opinion on breast sliders' makes it feel very "My way is the best way". And that just kinda rankles. Especially when you tie it to whether the game is 'fun' or not. And all it did was draw in the 'game is woke' and 'SJW's ruin everything' crowd.

Everything you say I totes agree with you. I do get it. Just the way Christina went about things I *really* don't like.

That is very much a statement made in jest. Generally the point she seems to make (it feels weird talking for other people), appears to be similar to mine. In that allowing people to have fun and providing more choice is a good thing. I think it's more so, if the developers are removing this, how can I trust they haven't removed other fun things.

Whilst the shorthand slang you see on the internet with "SJW's" and similar terms is rather crass and not necessarily helpful; it is true that there is an obnoxious prudishness and immaturity in a lot of western media and games over the past decade, and some really distasteful trends towards self-censorship and a hypocrisy in portrayals of violence.

It is also hard to deny that, even if I didn't really enjoy some of the humour, Saints Row 3's raunchy attitude dramatically helped its marketing and sales, much like Cyberpunk 2077 (although Cyberpunk's character creator was terrible).

Moving on, looking at the various creations, there is something really off and uncanny about the faces in general, and people seem to be struggling to adjust the faces to look how they want it to, which is a shame to see.

I gotta agree with the last line..

I have to admit editing faces is hella stupid:
1. Pick a race preset. There's no race selection like in previous games so you have to pick a preset with a race you would like to edit
2. They removed a lot of old sliders so you need to pick another preset of eyes, mouth, ears, etc and then edit it
3. Never press Alt+Tab while editing because Tab button will reset all of your edits without any warning

I had hard times trying to figure out how it works. The CC is also very buggy and I hope they'll fix it in the final release

That sounds like a total bummer... But unfortunately I can't relate.

All my creations have turned out how I wanted them too, and I find the presets really useful.

Instead of spending ages messing with sliders and f*cking it up multiple times, I can select a nose or pair of eyes that are close to what I'm looking for, then edit them to how I want them.

And that "Alt + Tab" thing, I've never had that problem.

Whenever I tab out, then tab back in, everything is still how it was.

But if these bugs are common for everyone else, then I hope they fix it soon.

I had 3 attempts at creating my main OC. First one is here:
second one was a disaster and third one is here:
I'm happy with the third one, it's not perfect but looks kinda similar. You need to find a perfect preset to edit otherwise it will be hard for you to create or recreate your OCs from previous game. If you figure out how to do it you're lucky but why do we have to edit presets? It's very uncomfortable. It would be awesome to have more sliders instead of: this nose doesn't look good, I need to pick another preset of the nose and then edit it with the base sliders

Oh dear, they moved towards less modular presets for each facial aspect instead of full modularity? That is very disappointing if I'm understanding that correctly.

When you say there is no race selection, are you saying that specific customization options are locked to certain presets, instead of allowing you to change ethnicity at will, irrelevant of other attributes?

And that instead of allowing full morphability of attributes, there are now preset assets with much more limited sliders?

Despite claims about the game being "cartoony", it seems like the Boss's face has slipped into that uncanny valley I hated in the 3 remaster. I noticed that you haven't been able to replicate your boss from 4 yet, which is more stylized but looks much better.

I wouldn't inherently be against presets if there were nice looking options, but I haven't seen people able to make a face that doesn't look a little "off" and dead-eyed. There also seems to be something strangely frumpy and disproportionate about the overall frame of the body, which sucks because the triangle slider is now even more limited than it used to be.

I expressed this concern during the first customization showcase, that it doesn't matter how many ancillary options they add, like galaxy skin, wacky colour sliders or shark teeth, if the core important elements of the creator, like body customization, make-up, hair, tattoos, scars and facial attributes, are messed up.

People haven't been able to make any of the fun characters you can in Soul Calibur, just bootleg dumpy looking versions of pop culture characters.

The fact they've shown so little of substance gameplay wise is also worrying, they haven't shown much in the way of any open world activities, story missions, difficulty, AI, replayability, substantial sidequests or minigames, anything really.

This scathing video in particular makes me very worried.

I really hope someone at Volition reads this forum, because I don't know anywhere else to post long-form feedback to them.

Ok, I guess some people prefer sliders, and some prefer presets with sliders.
