Got some good and bad news friends. My Oculus Rift has finally hit my doorstep and while I am still heavily inexperienced with this device I can tell you that at this moment in time I can not get support for SR4 until the driver I am using gets Direct X 10/11 support.
Good news is that tests show SRTT has a solid 8/10 head tracking and about a 7/10 stereo rendering. Which is a fancy way of saying that the head tracking is good and the 3d view from the headset is actually decent. I intended to make this message a couple of hours ago but I got lost in the rift when I started a new SRTT game. That's a pretty good sign. Once I'm done playing with the Rift as if it's some sort of really expensive toy I shall start working on SRTT's oculus support and when the guys over at mtbs3d's development section finally complete Direct X 10/11 support I shall switch over to that.
