SPOILERS Things that could be improved for the next installment

I'd like to see a larger variety in landscape. The return of islands, and unique districts like the trailer park, and new area's like forests, swamps, country side and so on. Both Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto removed this variety as their game play expanded. I've been waiting ever since for them to combine the expansiveness of SR 2 and GTA: San Andreas, with the game play and graphics of Saints Row the 3rd/4.

It looks like GTA 5 does add back all the back country areas though.

Wasn't a fan of GTA 4 though. The game was very.....respectable, and well crafted.....yet not really fun....at all.....I'm quite literally cooler then Niko, and I'm not all that cool....obviously. Who wants to actually play as a character who is less cool then themselves? But I digress.

In the next Saints Row, if it happens, I have a feeling there may be some kind of change we weren't expecting. Either we'll be in the futuristic laser rifle type stuff or we'll be back in ye olde times to parody Assassin's Creed and Skyrim type games, after all the mechanics for 'magic' are there now. Imagine a power like dragon shout but you hurl obscenities as your words of power. XD

...and my thoughts on GTA if anyone is interested: I haven't gone into it on this site yet... so
I liked GTA as any young gamer would, the feeling that you are playing the game 'they' don't want you to was exciting back in the GTA 1, 2, 3, SA etc days. It's something I grew out of once the PSP and 'stories' add ons started coming. I started looking at myself and asking, why do I like this? I see what the violent videogame haters are TALKING ABOUT! Am I... growing up?
But I actually I gave up on the GTA franchise thanks to that trailer for SR2, the "Would you rather" one. Turns out I wasn't growing up (thank Darwin) I had just gotten bored of R*'s style... Plus I was reading an article about GTAIV before it released and Rockstar said that the reason Niko didn't have many outfit options was because they wanted him to always look a certain way. That was one of the points that told me GTA was becoming very 'look but dont touch' when it comes to freedom in game. And the style of the graphics just depressed me, like MGS4, all washed out and bleak. I'm not getting GTAV, not out of Saints Row fanboyism just because Rockstar haven't shown me anything to win me back in their trailers.

Hah! I remember a Skyrim mod that turned the 'Fus Ro Dah!' shout animation into a farting stance, not sure what the name was, but my imagination would suggest Fart Roh Dah or Dragonfarts or the perhaps the The Way of the Flatulence.

Almost sounds like something they could do.

There are many ways for improvement but to be honest, I'm tired of it and I just don't give a shit anymore. I have SR2, I'm happy with it, I'd be happier if they'd fix all the little bugs.

I dunno if Volition even "listen" or read people more than just about modding and technical stuff.

I think Niko was actually cool. His own name is a faux though, it just means "Nothing" in Serbian. He comes from former Yugoslavia, he was on a war, and apparently on that war, only 3 people survived. Him, a guy who then turns into a homosexual and the traitor himself who is just as miserable as Niko. Niko is very cynical, he's not insane but he has no, let's say, "code of honour and dignity". He kills people and he doesn't care.

Though I still disliked how he had feelings for his cousin and potential girlfriend. I understand him though, all this misery, sometimes even a "bad man" just wants to get out of it. But he should remember, just like Benjamin King said (And I only mention this because we're on a Saints Row forum), once you're in that kind of risky game, there's no way out unless you're dead or in jail.

Funny thing is, I think the story was meant to be a conspiracy or controversy...No wait, a mystery. Niko and that traitor, they REALLY lookalike. In GTA4, you had a choice, to kill him or not. Killing him makes Niko feel the same as always; miserable, but if you let him live, he feels better. It's like Niko let his second personality live, and he got free of it, forgiving his betrayal and giving no retribution.

That's deep. :O And here I was thinking GTA IV was just a boring game. =P GTA IV was a very beautiful game, but Niko just didn't do it for me. He tries to live happy, yet the first time he kills someone in cold blood, he just laughs about it like it's a joke, not struggling with it one bit. That is when this game lost my interest. Throw in the ANNOYING calls you get every 5 minutes to go to a strip club or play pool or something. Boooooring. =P I rather play mayhem or race. xD

What about a HD port of Saints Row 2, the very best Saints Row game? I'd pay 100$ for it.
Saints Row 2 was a real GTA killer, a way better gameplay and a similar setting, but in funny, I LOVED IT!!!. Saints Row 3 was a dumbed down Saints Row 2 without any good soul. But SR4 with superpowers i don't consider a real Saints Row game. It's a Mass Effect parody with Saints Row elements. They should named it Saints Row: Armageddon. Its the end of the world like in the last Red Faction.
Okay, Saints Effect 4 is playable and sometimes i have fun, if i consider it a Mass Effect parody with Saints Row elements. But they should go back to the roots in Saints Row 5, also in quality and deepness. I mean, technically SR3+4 are working better than SR1+2, but there are many things, that are much worse than in SR2: motor sounds, follower KI, traffic KI, clothing system, melee system, radio, enemy variation, follower dialogue voices, immersion ... And there are some annoying things in SR3+4 like very low res clothes and cars with glitches, tutorial messages per minute(man, i'm not that dumb!), bad gameplay decisions like the need of dropped enemy health buffs and levels without any regen and so on.
I mean, Saints Row 2 was a relatively buggy and ugly game, but for me it was the prototype of a great game, the game of my dreams. Saints Row 2 was mutch more for me than a mingame collection like SR4. Sad, that Volition has destroyed my dreams another time. I was a fan of Volition, the creators of two of the best games of my life(RF:Guerilla and SR2) and i'm playing since Space Invaders. Please Voliton, go back to the roots. There is no need to implement aliens, superpowers and dildos to win a competition with GTA. You just won the war with SR2, a much better gangster game, that Rockstar can ever make...

(Sorry, i'm not a native speaker. But maybe someone at Volition can hear me.)

A better world. Yes I'm a Stilwater fan and I don't like Steelport. Either give us back an improved Stilwater or make a new city that is awesome and interesting unlike Steelport.
