Unlockable pack dlc

Hello..

Can I disable the DLC "Unlockable Pack"?
I found the mod here that makes it so the perks given with the "Bloodsucker" DLC is made optional.

I feel so cheated after buying the game and all the DLC on the last sale, those two packs ruined the entire experience for me =(

I believe shitface's Weapon Rebalance mod makes it so that weapons have to be purchased on new save files rather than automatically getting placed in your cache. Meanwhile, the Save Editor should let you disable all of the perks.

So I can completely undo the Unlocker DLC?
I want to still get the rewards from doing the actual missions furthur on.

I don't know much about the save editor, but presumably if you disable all of the perks they'll be reunlocked when you reach the appropriate mission. You should also be able to remove weapons from your cache and vehicles from your garage with it if memory serves

Tried the weapon rebalance mod, wokred great to "fix" the imbalance from all the extra weapons.
Though the Unlockable DLC is horrible, it gives so many diffrent thing, I have no idea how to undo it. =(

It feels so crap to be honest, I bought the game + all DLC on a sale, thought it was a good deal so didn't spend to much time looking over the extra content.
It completely ruined the game experience for me and there is no way for me to fix it. Why would any developer do this?

I will never buy another product from this company.. I feel so cheated.. =(

I feel your pain. Volition really dropped the ball on this one. How could anyone possibly think it was a good idea to force unlock a big chunk of the story rewards including city takeover anytime you start a new character. It's fucking ridiculous and breaks the game completely. I feel sorry for anyone who is forced to buy the GOTY edition once that becomes the only option for sale.

I took a look at how the unlocks proc, and unfortunately it looks like you would have to disable the unlock itself entirely to get it to stop. This would mean you could never get them through the normal story progression. I don't own the unlockables pack myself (thank goodness) so I can't really test any further though.

Steam Support closes my tickets when I ask them to remove the DLC from my possession, I don't even want the money back, I just want to be able to enjoy the game.
The game is completely destroyed for me, I went from "Oh my god, this game is awsome" during the free try this weekend to only feeling bad..

Something has got to be done about this to help the people who got burned by it. If you want to hang out in Steam GoS group chat (linked on the bottom of our forum index) I can try to work with you and see what exactly is going on with the unlocks. It would mean some dedication and a lot of testing on your part though if you're up for it.

I am willing to try to see how to undo the unlock DLC.
Would likely be even more useful soon as I understand the complete package will always contain all DLC and I'm sure people will want to get rid of that one.

Thanks for posting on the hazards of installing /buying this. I just avoided messing my SR3 modded system up!

With todays Sr3 sale on Steam I caught up on a bunch of DLC i had avoided over the last year.
I was fortunate enough to think to stop by here to check on this particular DLC item before picking it up.

If there is other 'dangerous' Sr3 downloadable content feel free to post. Maybe someone could make a post worthy of a warning STICKY.

One I avoided also was the one that is in effect a god mode cheat. forget the name of it. Seems pointless given mods anyway.

Pretty outrageous that STeam doesn't have the ability to let one 'back out' of registered DLC in these cases. I suppose it is more the fault of the developer though. /shrug.

I like Steam but this is one aspect of that system that is very annoying.
