What Will happen After SRIV?

I just have seen two Movies recently wich would make good Material for another Crazy Saints Row Game. The movies where Dredd and Demolition Man. Now as for the Dredd Setting: Wouldn't it be cool to explore the Judge Dredd Universe from the View of a Gangster ? It could be a Setting where the Saints have to fight against the powerfull Oppressing Law Enforcement in an dark dystopian Future. As for Demolition Man: This would be the Opposite. A Future where everything is happy and nonviolent. The Story could be that the Goverment considers the Saints to be too Dangerous and secretly catches them and freezes them. Then in the Future everything is nonviolent like in the Movie. But then the Bad Guy Whatshisface comes along and uses the defenslessness of the People to take over a complete City. So the Goverment wich has no Experience with this has to unfreeze the Saints to help them to stop the Bad Guy before he can expand like mr creosote :D

I agree with the comments to renew the franchise, but with SR2 ideals in mind.
Comedy mixed with badassness, like Bad Company.

I like this crazy-style, because it really is refreshing after you played several games like Sleeping Dogs, L.A. Noire or different.
Even Rockstar Games ruined GTA IV with being too serious with it.

I just want Volition to keep that style and yup.

Well first of all you should chill out and wait till you played Saints Row 4. Because Idolninja seems to really like Saints Row 4 despite not beeing a big Fan of 3. So maybe they got the Balance between Crazyness and Seriousness right already. And in my personal Opinion i think that Voliton should do the exact Opposite of what some of the Oldschool Fans propose around the Net. And that would be keeping the Crazy and Comicbookish Storyline and Style but add Serious Moments to that. I'm not talking going further with the Crazy but keeping the Level of Crazyness. And let's be honest Saints Row 2 had already a Comicbookish Storyline and Style with serious Moments in between.

Why do you doubt it. They disappointed some past fans but not all and definetly not the Majority of the Saints Row Fans. How do i know that. Well i base my assumption of the Fact that the Saint's Row Fan's Choice Facebook Group, that exists for the very Cause to convince Volition to go back to the Gangbang Style Saints Row, has only about 450 Memebers despite posting on every Saints Row related Facebook Site and on Youtube. And on Top of that Volition gained allot of new Fans through this Crazy Style. Volition also seemed to always wanted to go in that Crazy way and as long as they are Successfull with it i don't see why they would or should Change that. The unhappy People will always be louder then the happy People even if the happy People are more. Of course i don't want to start a Fight here with that. It is just my Observation of the Situation.

OI YOU BETTER NOT TALK ABOUT FC THAT WAY MATE, YOU WOT MATE? I'LL WRECK YOU, MATE! loljk

The only problem is that volition may stick themselves in the position of "how do we top the funny?" which can ruin even the best series. Things like hijacking cargo planes or controlling cars with an RC remote funny but also cool, mixing cool and funny have made a lot of things popular and it's a lot easier than straight comedy or straight badass when you think about it.

I hope it ends with 5 or 6 and the bridge the gap between SR and Red Fraction.

It will never happen considering that Volition no longer own the rights to the Red Faction IP when they got bought at auction by Koch Media Group. Only Saints Row went with them.

I've been wondering too...I think I would prefer for them to leave SR on a high note instead of beating it to death till it's just not interesting anymore. I am kind of hoping that they break from the Saints Row franchise, at least by turning to a new 'boss', maybe. It could be, as someone else suggested, interesting to see a game set in Stilwater that showcases the Saints holding things down while the Boss and the Inner Circle were dealing with shit in Steelport. Or the Boss and the Inner Circle find that Stilwater has gone to hell since they've been gone, maybe even a bit of a mutiny? Just spitballing.

Or they could go for something completely new, which I could see them doing with the next gen consoles actually having some pretty serious horsepower. I wonder how the geo-mod stuff and 4 player co-op might do on the XOne and PS4?

Just so long as they keep the tone they've been kicking so much ass with: the crazy, silly, over-the-top-let-the-player-loose-in-this-wacky-sandbox thing. There's enough out there that covers the totally serious, and does it well, that I hope Volition continues to be the voice of unreason for a long time.
