WHY AM I RUNNING AT 3FPS?!

Ok. So I have an "important update" for my graphics drivers. I am going to apply it then see what happens. I hope it also fixes my Windows 7 Aero problem. Fingers crossed, everyone.

EDIT: Uhg. Before it was just the game itself running slow. Now it's the menus, loadign screens and the game. But my computer in general is still spify, game running in background, or not. It also didn't fix my Aero problem.

EDIT2: Hmmm. It seeems my screensaver is running at 3fps also........

Well if this is the enb thingie you speak of:
http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/

they have forums try there and good luck.

I remember looking into that enb thing when I first heard of it back when dabbling with Skyrim last year
when it first came out.
Conclusion I reached then was to not touch it with a ten foot pole and walk away. Won't go into reasons I
reached that conclusion..

Only other suggestion is try / reinstall
ati drivers after doing a driver uninstall (maybe do that first of course and reboot in between)

And if all else fails, and I hate suggesting it as I never do that here but it can work in times of desperation
by anyone that is their wits end:
Reinstall Windows.

Don't let friend touch pc again.
good luck.

Uzi! Haven't seen you in a while! Anyway I it's not an ENB thing. My computer is sqeaky clean (at least from ENB :P ) I don't want to touch the drivers with a 30 foot stick because there's something corrupt with updating them manually, but I did install the "Important update" for the drivers.

Reinstall Windows.
 I'd slap you for saying that, but.... You might be right...

No-one (and I mean no-one) else touches my computer. They learned not to touch "my precious" the hard way.

Well, in my experience ENB can actually corrupt system directx files which an uninstall will NOT correct. You're issue can only be fixed by a format, although there are numerous sites on how to remove or downgrade directx. I'll leave that research up to you, as Uzi said format and fresh setup is best for your particular issue.

But won't I lose everything? I really don't want to go to the trouble of using 20 CDs just to back it up. I wan't to try anything I can before I have to reinstall Windows.

If you're having Aero issues too then it's an indication that you have some serious OS problems far beyond just certain games. Personally, I would just backup all the important stuff and reformat/reinstall. In a perfect world, everyone would/should keep data on a completely separate disk/partition and reinstall Windows at least once a year. Nothing beats a fresh install.

I know but I have only one hard drive. I wish I had too, but I got a little ripped of for a $1000 computer... And pretty much everything is important. But where everything is located? I don't know. And if I miss something and lose it, that would fucking suck. *Frustrated facepalm*

Pretty much you want to back up your user folder, everything else can usually be reinstalled.

I would suggest investing in at least an external 1TB hard drive for backup purposes.

How do I reinstall everything else? I mean, I'm definately not poor, but I'm not rich to be affording big-sized hard drives whenever I want.

You will have to install the apps that you normally use.

You can also copy the Steam folder over to an external drive to save on the downloading.

I currently have 2 internal drives and 1 external drive attached to my gaming machine, along with another external attached to the router.
