Got it.

What do you guys think the marketing team should focus on for the mass advertising and appeal? They should definitely be clear that it is an open world game, since there is some confusion about that from unaware consumers. I hope they are considering the world building and writing. Since it's coming in four months, I'm not sure how much the team is able to do in their development process, so I'm uncertain if those early negative articles are due to not seeing much of the game or genuine problems with its design. I'm scared because I don't recall seeing those websites do negative previews like this for other AAA games, which alarms me.

Crude juvenile jokes are definitely a bad idea, but there is nothing wrong with smart "immature" humour, that is used creatively and subverts trends for fresh writing, but I'm unsure what goes well with public reception. Look at... say, The Stanley Parable or Tales From The Borderlands for comedy inspiration.

PC Gamers statement on the NPC's is the particular that I worry about, Sleeping Dogs and GTA's NPCs have problems, they do in fact repeat models and they look somewhat rough up close, but they also have some good generation systems for slight variety in the same model, a diverse amount of ambient activities, efforts put into the general world building and atmosphere, and (mostly) logical pathfinding. Generally I just hope the NPC and car density is higher than what's been shown, but again, I'm not aware enough about the development process.

The AI seems smart and looks like it has some interesting diversity and potential, so that might be good to portray and discuss, teasing some of the more serious parts of the game thematically and storywise is most likely a good idea. Clearing up sequel confusion is also wise.

Is it normal for game trailers to have such few views this early? I don't quite know how companies use algorithms and advertising to increase internet awareness.

I just want this to get the attention it deserves, it seems wonderfully fresh and unique, and you don't see things like this nearly enough in the game industry. I don't want this to fall to the wayside within the consumerism of stagnated industry due to sequel demands and poor marketing.

Any ideas? I don't really know.

the issue I have is that they've been showing off way more of the shooter gameplay than the open world gameplay. AoM is an open world game but people are still mistaking it for an arena-based third-person Battleborn clone (they've already downgraded it from Overwatch clone). Saints Row has never had amazing gunplay. They were great games because of the different systems coming together.

Basically, just show off more free-roaming stuff. Show off the parkour, show off the driving, show off the various side missions.
