I know it will never happen now, especially since the series is now over and Volition have moved onto the series reboot, but...

I'd love to have access to just that mission where Playa and Donnie save Lin from Sharp. In fact, I'd trade the whole of Saints Row IV to have just that mission as an addon for SRTT, then of course unlock Lin and Donnie as Homies in SRTT.

The fact that the guy showing this mission off, isn't even familiar with Saints Row 2006 and had no idea that it was Price's Mansion, it just hurts so much. If it was someone who was familiar with SR 2006, and instantly recognised that it was Price's Mansion, that I could handle... But this guy had no idea where he was.

Mod Idea:
We already know models can be ported from SRIV to SRTT, and vice versa. And Lin has already been ported into SRTT, but usually replaces Shaundi or one of the Female Saints.

What if there was a way to edit spawns or objectives in missions, so Lin could be added to one of the missions as an extra objective. The only one I can think of is the mission aboard the Thermopylae, she could be in one of the prison cells and needs to be rescued, but the only problem there is that there are already 3 followers in that mission.

She could be locked in one of the Shipping Containers aboard the Morningstar Cargo Ship.

But if a mission could be created from scratch (minus the cutscenes of course)...

Donnie would text Playa telling them to meet him at the Airport.

Once meeting with Donnie, they follow (what looks like) Sharp's Justice all the way to Salander Docks (With the beached ship).

At the Docks they watch as (what looks like) Sharp gets out of the Justice and walks to the back of the car.

Playa and Donnie then spring into action and defeat Sharp, after which they unlock the trunk to see Lin tied up.

Playa locks Sharp in the trunk, activates cruise control, then the 3 of them watch as Sharp and his Justice drive into the water.

Then Donnie and Lin are unlocked as Homies to use in free roam.

Models can be ported but you can only replace. SRTT is very limited if you want to add something new so the mod idea sounds very impossible. Editing mission, changing objectives, spawn points sounds doable tho
 
I'm not saying that I have a problem with Volition's current/previous/future staff, I'm just saying that it was disappointing to see that guy just play through the mission and not have any idea where he was.

It would have been much better if it was someone who had worked on SR 2006, or someone who just worked on that cut mission, cos at least then they could have went into more detail about it.

Why they chose the mission to take place in the mansion instead of the pool hall? Why they had to go from room to room and watch Lin get killed in each one? They maybe could have mentioned any planned easter eggs they had for the mission, or if the Rollerz were originally going to be in the mission.

But instead all we got was "oh yeah, this house... I think was part of ETD". Then "oh, chat says it's Price's Mansion and we're rescuing Lin".

BTW, I am actually looking forward to the reboot, and am even invested in the new Saints and their journey. But until I can play it, it's just really hard to let go of the Saints I already know and love.

Well if Lin and Donnie can't be added as Homies, can they at least replace the generic Saints in Gang customization, along with Alive Gat and Aisha? I just don't like having to lose any of the default Homies just to gain new ones.

I saw someone comment from Saint channel and AJTS⚜️ said Hoffman was the key success of SR1,2 he was the Great man who make the community still stronger now and Everyone still love SR1,2 Content.. without him we will never see SR2 the last game that make us crying that has Feature like Pick up Object,Facial expression when character drinking Booze,Smoking Blunt marijuana cigarette and Getting shot Pain expression.. the best thing i ever experienced in SR2..

I don't know if There's one of them still stand up.. since I heard that Too Hoffman hired by Someone else that's why it went down when it comes to SRTT,SRIV since Volition Had enough with GTA fanboy Criticism And Said Saints row still GTA Clone and yep they change the tone after that.
 
Volition never should listen to those people. But i believe we made clear what we want over years. Its still on them, they choose to not listen to us. So no mercy on them! There is no bound left between Volition and old fans anymore.
If SRR flop they probably Must leaving SR give it someone else.. or Remaster SR games.. since their games its not only SR right.. imagine SR2 with Great engine nowadays was i'm looking for sometimes i hate reboot Trailer since its not stick with Original character.. SRTT continued its about Taking the gangster again not bunch of BS fighting alien..

If SRR flop probably this is the last time they must hear the old fans... Since SR 1 will not have sequel without Old fans support..

Yep thats right.. i don't want they end up like Rockstar there's still time they hear us they support the modders but weirdly didn't like the criticize from Old fans its like:"Hey we working on it from a long time You want new SR games you got it.. oh you not like it because No Original character included.. oh well Haters gonna hate!"
 
That was the most childish thing i have ever seen from any professional company.
They become like that after Aom flop they got stressed out i don't know if Jim boone return will fix this SRR.. or just same like AoM.. the only way to fix it bring back Hoffman and the other staff that working on SR1,2 and fired those new staff that makes SR right now just like Spice guardian.
 
Thats would be the best thing but i gotta say most of them probbly working for other companies and have contracts with them. A few months back i talk with a guy who declares he s an ex dev of Volition and he was very angry to them

I mean Jim Boone involved with SR1,2 right there's could be a chance SRR will not bad as like SRTT or IV.. no i don't mean steve since He's not affect the SR franchise he just make it worse when decide change the skeleton face for each Gender that makes the games getting cartoony.. I don't even like NPCs in SRTT they look ugly while i must admit the Hoes done much better in SRTT since in SR2 they look very ugly.

I was imagine if they keep that skeleton in SR2 and 1 We should seeing The Saints row will not like this even Can match the Game Face design nowadays.. while SRTTR Fix the texture original and reshade the face of Playa looks Worse in the original version.
 
I don't even like NPCs in SRTT
The problem with the SRTT/SRIV NPCs is that there was less variety. There was literally only 1 construction worker. So if you came across roadworks or a construction site, you'd see like 3 or 4 of the same guy.

I prefer the way they did it in SR2. Where they just had 8 NPC models (4 male, 4 female. 2 Caucasian, 2 African American, 2 Hispanic, 2 Asian), and just let the face, build, and outfits (and outfit colors) be randomized based on the same character customization menu as Playa.

But I started with SR2, then basically played SR 2006 as a Prequel, then moved onto SRTT and SRIV... Then GOOH/GOH, but let's not go there.

And although I favour the first two games, I still play SRTT & SRIV. And although my mind was originally set that I didn't like this SR Reboot, I am now anxiously awaiting it's release and have already pre-ordered it for both Xbox & PC. It may not be the SR I was expecting, but...

I love Route 66, I've been to Las Vegas, I love desert settings, most of my GTA SA time was spent in the Las Vegas & desert areas. And going back to having a Church as the Saints HQ is exactly what I've been waiting for since I first played SR 2006.

But the best part, it's a new set of characters with new personalities. If this game had Gat, Peirce, & Shaundi again, I wouldn't be surprised by anything that happens throughout the game. Gat gets wounded, saw it coming. Shaundi gets kidnapped, saw it coming. Pierce plans a heist, everyone ignores his plan, guess what... Saw it coming while blindfolded, spinning in circles, on the other side of the city.

There's only so many times you can rehash the same shit before it becomes predictable and boring. It's about time we started fresh with a new crew in a new city with no idea what's about to happen. It's our time now, let's "keep it strange", and get this shit started!
