There are sites offering 50% to 75% off almost monthly on all SR:TT products, if your patient you can pUrchase everything very inexpensive as for the in between did you skip the intro to the game? It explains the saints took over stilwater and became media icons, enter steel port.....the game takes place after sr2. I wouldn't see the point of going back to play a game which would have to consist of them getting lawyers and PR agents to represent them and signing contracts for media memorbilia and autographs, which is what the intro insinuates. There wouldnt be much of a game there. They've already introduced cloning and it's not perfected, obviously any character could be brought back properly in the next game by just perfecting cloning which Oleg or Kinzie could obviously figure out. The question is would Gat even want to come back, he went out being his badass self and is now with Aisha.
They could easily bring back any of the main characters now or even enemies, the question is should they? I thinking bringing back characters now takes away from the original tales and we'd end up with repeated crap. "oh shit Gats back!....is that Maero??" They'd come back and want revenge on the saints and you beat them once already and it'll just get stale and repetitive. I could see maybe flash back missions at the beginning of the next game....having the saints finally being able to have proper burials for all the fallen comrades, to lead into a full city siege since they declared steelport foreign soil. Although......if they really wanted to go all out, they'd have the Government Clone Johnny Gat and use him against the saints.....now THAT would be sweet.
It's a game! Why not be over the top? Youre saying it's more Over the top then SR2? You put radioactive waste in a tattoo gun somehow in sr2, you kill bums to take there home in sr2, shaundi is screwing the entire city in SR2, you can drive around and spray sewage on people from a truck, you break out of prison to go back and break someone else out of prison, you break Gat out a courthouse, what exactly isn't over the top about any of that? Violition doesn't force anyone to buy DLC, you want it you pay. Thats how it works, could the content of been more providing for the prices? Sure, but it wasn't. Could they of just released it all with the game instead of having ANY DLC? Sure but they didn't, and no one put a gun to our head to pay for any of it. We chose to pay, some paid full price, some didn't. I personally think thier DLC content has been pretty good compared to other games I've played. I also didn't pay full price, I purchased during sales.
Complaining about the cost of something you chose to purchase is pretty fruitless.
Sorry for double post, I was never complaining, I just said I wish it was longer, you got the wrong idea out of my post, and you seemed to have beat the crap out of my opinion, just because you don't agree doesn't mean you have to prove to me why it is stupid, it's an opinion, and unless I'm getting the wrong message out of your post (which if I am I'm sorry), it seems like you are just hating my opinion
