Replay the game man, the Deckers were the best gang out of all (especially if you can be one of them), I agree on the luchadores, it would've been better if they were the morningstars, and psychos instead of wrestlers.
Too bad johnny's dead but I don't think he will come back.
If shaundi comes back or not depends on what end of the story they choose as the main ending of SR3
In my opinion they should go after Dex in the fourth but we'll just see.
 
actualy that a good idea the fourth should be about going after dex .
he could be the vp of the masako team. an d i know you can choose the (good?) ending but the the ending that shaundi dies has more of a darker feel like sr2 used to be.end yes the deckers are pretty cool i aws just comenting how the gangs in sr3 are a little bit to over the top
 
Just doing a replay.. the game actually isn't that bad. It's a very fun game and has a lot of good comedy moments and some nice impactful ones. (Plus, the voice acting! The line "Ok unicorn, you asked for it!" made me crack up)

The problem is, well.. it needs those more serious moments like SR2 had. I mean, a moment I remember is the whole Aisha's funeral bit. Running around and mowing down waves of enemies doesn't say the Saints are brutal, it says it's silly. Now a funeral interrupted, and instead of fighting they tell him to back off. Then when he refuses... a horribly extreme form of disproportionate retribution is done in a moment that not only says "We're hardcore" but "Do NOT fuck with the Saints, or you will NOT live to regret it.. for long."

It needs more a down to earth feel. It's not about realism or what, it's about pacing and thematic effects. It feels like they forgot some of that when they did the third game, and went for something big and bombastic, while the second probably had a better story and staying power.
Well, ok, it had 3 stories, and a fourth addendum. That's one thing I liked in SR3.

The biggest fault though is length. SR2 had more to do. Making the activities non-optional (by being required story-chain bits) wasn't a good way to pad out stuff, but I understand it lets people see how they work. Making them not required as locks to progress the game, that was a good move. I just wish they hadn't chopped out a dozen of them as they went.

So, ways to make a good SR4? Pace out the plot, make it more deeper again, go back to SR2 and see how it flowed. Then, add side activities again.. the hardest part is setting them up, once it's done it's relatively easy to extend it, although the voice acting budget would eat up a good chunk (a move I liked.. that quote is from the last Deckers mission... and you only get it if you make a 'wrong move' in the one subgame. The whole game in general has different quotes by the different voice actors and for different parts). Still, that's a benefit, it makes them feel a bit more like different people in a sense.

The key strengths are already covered.. automotive carnage and fun that's emergent from the design. The next step is the plot.. don't take youself too seriously, but at the same time, realize that you don't have to make it all over the top all the time, or you can't go further. The entire first half hour of the game is amazing. It shouldn't have been at the start, because there's no way to top yourself, and it just makes the rest of the game look a bit of a let-down in comparison. The game should have built to that.
 
A thing that is desperately needed it's more, MUCH more sandbox fun, so the game can live on after all missions ends. They have to open a lot more of buildings, make civilians do things. Also the game need a more wide customization, in character creation too: more sliders to define the body, a much more wise hairstyles and clothing dotation, the ability to control upgrades to go back and forth and, of course, modding tools, modding tools, modding tools.
And less useless challenges like the trailblazing.

Also, if they're planning to make SR4 "even more wilder", I think that action should be placed in a city like Vice City. Imagine long, sunny beaches, night clubs by the ocean (or even on a luxury boats), neons and activities like Genki's Water Skiing or Angry Tiger's Sea Fishing.

  • Character fully customizable like SR2.
  • Able to wear NPC clothing like SR2.
  • Two cities instead of one.
  • On the Xbox360 (or when the next Xbox gets released) use the kinnect feature to scan yourself into the game.
  • Mass Effect style of conversations where what you say effects the storyline.
  • Stealth Missions.
  • More Burt "Fucking" Reynolds.
  • Johnny Gat returns fully healed either as a companion or the antagonist.
  • Find out what happened to Tobias and Troy from SR2.
  • Able to customize your Homies and what they wear eg. Change Shaundi and Pierce's gear.
  • and many many more.
yes definitely that is what i want also more clothes, more hair styles, more cars, more guns and more crazy missions.

  • The return of consumable items
  • Its not that I didn't like the zany story of SRTT, but I'd like to see the story for 4 be somewhat more serious
  • More of a presence of Ultor
  • More Prof. Genki, yes, even though I'd like to see things get a little less zany
And for no good reason, a list of nonsensical suggestions

  • Pets
  • Somehow figuring Alf and/or The Gremlins and/or Ren and Stimpy into the game as Homies
  • Being able to somehow cobble a custom vehicle together from parts of existing ones in game
  • Create a rival gang?
  • Time travel?
  • Staying crunchy, even in milk?
