Got it done, Thanks. I never used WinMerge prior to this and was a bit timid going forward. Sure, backups and all that sort of thing....I know, but still just had me a bit nervous staring, comparing, then making the changes/edits. But to my pleasant surprise, WinMerge was MUCH easier to use then I had ever anticipated.
So far Gat's rescue mission started right up again, like it is supposed to....haven't come across any pony carts just yet, so I can't say if that got fixed.
Thanks for tackling these 'bugs' as fast as you did. Awesome job!
*EDIT* - I've seen a few pony carts now. They were empty so I couldn't tell if the NPC animations were fixed, but the black tires (on either side of the gimp pulling the cart) still appear.
*2nd EDIT* - OK, I've been playing for a bit longer now and the pony cart 'bug' is still present. Tires appear whether carts are being pulled by a gimp, or if they're simply 'parked'. (Until you walk right up on them at least...then the 2 front tires vanish). Also, the NPC Gimps continue to be standing in the cart with their arms extended outwards. (Some sort of mesh issue I'd guess)
Also, there at times, seems to be a period where all 'fighting' pauses. For instance, say you're tasked with guarding the virus injection point. There is supposed to be 4 waves of attackers. You'll be fighting, kill your last baddie on the screen, and then no more appear for quite sometime...even though you have much more to do in that particular task. Did something change in the spawn time?
And lastly, I was just doing Ben King's loyalty mission. The one where you finally end Tonya. I threw her off the roof and into the park. Once I got over to her, cops started pouring into the park...and they attacked. Once I got into Tonya's cut scene I was STILL getting attacked by them, to the point of near death. If the cut scene would have gone on, I'm sure I would have died.
I have to say though...during Pierce's loyalty mission...Once we had to follow the truck heading to the airport?? That truck hitting ALL OF THOSE vehicles on the way there, and then having them chase after it. Oh man, my sides ached from laughing so hard. That was just fun. :-D
