NPC Behaviour and Spawn Mod

the mod seem to break Johnny Gat's rescue mission (2D mission), after all cut scene you will start the mission in front of Purgatory. It loads the map but nothing spawn, Aisha wasnt there screaming for help and both Boss and Johnny didnt spawn as well.

Yep..just loaded up a save game prior to the start of that mission and experienced the same.

Can you guys try to load the mission up again with this file, and see if shit's no longer fucked up?

I'll give it a shot now...Deleted my old save games, but I am in the midst of a new game that is just about ready to do that mission, so it won't take me long to test. Post back my findings in a bit.

Edit - Yep, that new character.xtbl file worked. Gat's 2D rescue mission started right up perfectly. Could you post which lines you fixed so that I can just edit those lines in my modded character.xtbl file, please?

Which other mods do you have installed? This mod doesn't change how the tanks function so I'm not sure why this would be happening.

Sorry, my game was outdated. After update all fine.

But I have two advices :p

- Energy Sword it's too powerful weapon, so when we have some random guys with it on the streets, it could be a problem during fight vs cops and military forces. Sudden problem leading to sudden death

- I think this mod not correctly interacts with another mod - Non-glitching city (link). Because I must use tweak_table.xtbl from NPC Behaviour and Spawn Mod. Author of "Non-glitching city" wrote that we can just change "Glitch_effect_lifetime" to "0". When I do this the game will freeze for else. Or I must use a cheat code :(

I think, you edited wrong line, which cause it crashing.. I try to change "Glitch_effect_lifetime" to "0", and everything works fine

You use Notepad++ to edit .xtbl files.Windows notepad will not work,it'll crash the game.

Are you using Windows Notepad? Because it f*cks up some of .xtbl files, like tweak_table.

Ok. v28 is up which should take care of those Saints of Rage and EtD mission bugs. I think. It took a while to get out, because as usual, the first fix had unintended consequences- it caused Zombie mode to crash for some mysterious reason. That's been fixed too.

Knowing how this game works I'm sure it'll cause another crash in some arbitrary area of the game and I'll be pulling my hair out trying to fix it again. If not, it'll be broken again on wednesday!

Just compare the new table with the previous one in Winmerge. All I did was shuffle around some character entries to different lines in the table.

Got it done, Thanks. I never used WinMerge prior to this and was a bit timid going forward. Sure, backups and all that sort of thing....I know, but still just had me a bit nervous staring, comparing, then making the changes/edits. But to my pleasant surprise, WinMerge was MUCH easier to use then I had ever anticipated.

So far Gat's rescue mission started right up again, like it is supposed to....haven't come across any pony carts just yet, so I can't say if that got fixed.

Thanks for tackling these 'bugs' as fast as you did. Awesome job!

*EDIT* - I've seen a few pony carts now. They were empty so I couldn't tell if the NPC animations were fixed, but the black tires (on either side of the gimp pulling the cart) still appear.

*2nd EDIT* - OK, I've been playing for a bit longer now and the pony cart 'bug' is still present. Tires appear whether carts are being pulled by a gimp, or if they're simply 'parked'. (Until you walk right up on them at least...then the 2 front tires vanish). Also, the NPC Gimps continue to be standing in the cart with their arms extended outwards. (Some sort of mesh issue I'd guess)

Also, there at times, seems to be a period where all 'fighting' pauses. For instance, say you're tasked with guarding the virus injection point. There is supposed to be 4 waves of attackers. You'll be fighting, kill your last baddie on the screen, and then no more appear for quite sometime...even though you have much more to do in that particular task. Did something change in the spawn time?
And lastly, I was just doing Ben King's loyalty mission. The one where you finally end Tonya. I threw her off the roof and into the park. Once I got over to her, cops started pouring into the park...and they attacked. Once I got into Tonya's cut scene I was STILL getting attacked by them, to the point of near death. If the cut scene would have gone on, I'm sure I would have died.

I have to say though...during Pierce's loyalty mission...Once we had to follow the truck heading to the airport?? That truck hitting ALL OF THOSE vehicles on the way there, and then having them chase after it. Oh man, my sides ached from laughing so hard. That was just fun. :-D

If you are running your game in the Wide Screen & Full Screen graphic options, try the display.ini tweak in the guides section on running in Borderless Window mode. Read Here, Section 3 Critical Fixes

Final bug report the night...LOL!

Phoning in Homies (Non Crew Members) So Cyrus Temple, DJ Veteran Child, Tonya, etc....whenever you phone them into the simulation they answer the phone and respond they're on their way...but they never appear, nor do they display in the Homie Hub at the top right corner of screen.
