Realism mod

I love your mod as it adds more challenge to the game, and I'm trying to play through the game with your mod on. I have a bit trouble with the tank mayhem mission though, as I simply don't have enough time to score 425.000 points, the highest up I've gotten so far is around 280.000. Can you give me some tips, or tell me how to lower the required score?

Never mind, I somehow managed to beat it, but it sure was tough.

All you gotta do is to learn the place around the respective activity and then you will know where the trash,fences and all the destroyable objects will be and don't forget to do combos ! I might add some seconds to tank activities.

Thanks, and also I think I found a bug, sometimes when I enter a parked car it instant kills me. Though it doesn't happen often so it's not really a big deal, but I thought I should tell you.

That's from the game itself;I remember happening that thing to me before I started modding.
 
This was when using the KA-1 KOBRA level 2:
I've got another issue, it takes two head-shots to kill a police-officer, and when I tried shooting from a car I counted 6 shots and 4 of those was dead between the eyes. pedestrians still drop from one head-shot.I don't know about S.TA.G. yet as I haven't gotten that far.
Morningstar:
on foot: 2 head-shots
In vehicle: over 10 times (hard to get an exact number with all the interference)
Luchadores:
on foot: 2 head-shots (3 to the back of the head)
in vehicle: havent' checked yet
Deckers:
on foot: havent' checked yet
in vehicle: havent' checked yet

I don't know if that is intentional or not, but seeing as only the motorcycle officers have helmets I find it slightly unrealistic. Though of course that doesn't break the mod in any way as it's supposed to make the game a bit harder, right?

(I'll test head-shots with gang members to see how many they can take)

Also, repairing a car (before modding it) saves that car in your garage, it's not a big deal for me, but I figured I'd let you know(although you might already know that).
 
Can't downgrade/upgrade this mod right now because I'm busy with something else.

And in reply to Piece o' Hans,you could open weapons.xtbl and search for KA-1 Kobra and then you will see a section named <npc_damage>[value]</npc_damage>;edit this value,put something higher and the pistol will do more damage against the guys you fight against.
 
Just registered to thank you for making the most useful SR3 mod out there. I just hope that you decide to get back to it later on, only to come up with even more interesting and realistic tweaks. Don't know if it can be modded, but stuff like the car handling, for example, could use a little bit more realism.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts. The co-op vanilla was ridiculously easy, even on Hardcore, and I especially absolutely love the part where you have to purchase DLC guns, instead of instantly getting them with the DLC. Now, if only there was a way to do something like this for the DLC cars, especially that Ultor/Specter jet bike that is just too overpowered for the early game...

I agree with you about the DLC vehicles which get unlocked early in the game,I should make a new version that unlocks them later in the game for example the Crusader (Saints version from DLC) should be unlocked after doing some STAG missions,etc...
 
Have to say that after playing with this mod for a good amount of time that its a really good and fun one, but I have grown to really not like some of the changes, namely the rocket launcher enemies in helicoptors. In normal play they are fine but in activities they are painfully overpowered to the point its not fun. The other issue I have is the brutes, while buffing them is good and challenging I really dont like how there can be 2 at once as once again Im trying to go through the story and then a minigun brute shows up with a flamethrower brute or even worse, 2 flamethrower brutes and I cant complete a mission or activity unless I get lucky and hope something does not spawn. I agree with buffs but it kills the fun when you give an enemy more than it needs.

with all that said though, is it possible to have a version that does not have rocket launcher syndicate members in choppers and only 1 brute at a time? Love the mod and signed up so I could give feedback.
