I actualy ment SR 2 with fresh new physics/animations, but ok. The only thing SR 3 improved on SR 2 was driving and controls. That was it. But yeah, im also a diehard hater of SR 3 so .

Also, you made some good points in you're post .

Ah well, Volition stated that this is the last game of the saga, I hope that that only means for the protagonist's saga, and that they continue with some other Saint, or some other gang. Gives more oppertunities to give back the gangsta theme, or rather the interesting things like wear options, layered clothing, hydraulics, etcetera.

I'm not really against SR3, I'm only against its weird flaws. And against that you can't make new car variants to make let's say... gang vehicles.

I hope the car component and variant tables aren't hardcoded behind the .exe in Chapter IV of this saga. It's my #1 priority because certainly I will bring up virtual reality gangs in SRIV, above the gangs from the past Saints Rows.

And because of that in the simulations are the gangs from past Saints Row chapters, I'd be shocked if for example the Ronin would be in virtual Steelport and not in a virtual Stillwater.
If Volition does everything right now, they might even get to satisfy you, that you go also back to somewhat SR2 style, since you'll be fighting past gangs. But only if they do it right.

That's basicly my only concern, but when I look at SR 3, and the trailer for SR "4" (<- how dare they call it "4"!), I just want to throw me, my TV, my laptop and my disc of SR 3, out of my fkn apartment.

^Not literly of course, but you get the point. I just dont have faith in this-once-so-briliant-series anymore, Perhaps that's my problem, I lost faith in this series.

Actualy this is one of the best reviews I have stumbled on, though he doesn't mention curtain things like layered clothing and such, but it's still pretty damn good:

yeah, everything I've heard about SR4 so far seems so mod-friendly. At the very least I can see past gangs, superpowers in real-life Steelport (should be be explorable, and it sounds like it is), and being able to use any weapon skin on any weapon as potential mods. It'll suck if they restrict it any further than SR3.

The one thing I wonder about are the table size limits that are inherent in every Saints Row game. We've all read the explanations how Volition couldn't squeeze in any more weapons and assets for the DLC so had to make them mission specific and reuse certain open world ones to make it all work. I wonder if Volition will restrict super powers in the VR version so that they can double the amount of weapons available in the "real world." If so, it might not be as easy as you think to enable that stuff via mods.

Let's simply hope for the best. Only if there would be some way to change the whole city back to Stillwater (<- mission impossible, I know) :(.

Urgh, the more I hear about the game, the more I wanna shoot myself, errr, I mean, slap myself with a giant purple dildo... But well, if there is good mod support, I might still buy this.

However, first I shall wait and see what kind of magic tricks you can pull of, Idol.

I know what you mean. If it wasn't for Gentlemen of Stilwater and all it's features, I wouldn't care if I had SR2 on PC (since I have it on XB360), but now, it's pretty high on my wishlist.

Gentlemen of the Row. *ahem.
