Sandbox+ for SRTT

would saving with the no spawning in effect cause problems? because about the only time of day that seems normal is night. all others have no spawns or very few. (i've never used any of those added times and don't even know what they look like)

I don't have an answer to that. We need more testing from everyone to try and understand what is really going on. This is why the mod is still in alpha.
 
I've narrowed it down to a problem with the sunset timeslice (9pm-5am.) That's when all traffic and peds disappear. If I manually change it to sunrise, noon, or night with F+INSERT everyone starts spawning again. Also, if I wait it out and have 5am (night) hit naturally all the spawns kick back in.

The question now is WHY.
 
well i removed what u said and all's well again for me. i'm happy w/ the vanilla tods. and the superpowers rock now! i took away the comic word bubbles and made it where u can use weapons too (love the gib punch but not how u walk around w/ fists drawn all the time. makes my lady look less than demure lol).
i like the Decker skater effect. if u can get the "swoosh" running sound that would be sweet. and a smooth transition between day times. really lovin this mod. thanks much Idol!!
 
I like the extra times. If the times using sunset can be fixed, that'd be great. But if not, whatever works. Everything that's not buggy is cool to have in, and the stuff that is buggy I believe will be fixed eventually anyway, so it's all good. The only thing I don't care much about is the cutscenes, but as long as they don't interfere with putting any new feature in by taking up too many key combinations, I don't mind having them available.
 
I've got some bad news. I did some troubleshooting this evening and kept removing things from the tod modded files. I went section by section removing pieces and testing until only 1 thing was left. That one thing was was the initial tod slice which is the core of how it all works for the additional times of day.

It's pretty clear that this will not work correctly with sunset. I remove the slice from default_global.xtbl and all the spawns work again. I put it back into any position with any time defined and it breaks it. Unfortunately they're all going to have to be removed from Sandbox+ (mars, vr, and the 4 alt ones from shitface,) unless anyone has any ideas.
 
In what version did this strange spawn problem start happening? I have v.44a and it seems fine. Maybe you could have 2 copies of each version? One with Alt TODs and one without.

Oh, you have it. You just haven't noticed yet. The issue actually started in .43. It's the standard vanilla sunset timeslice that's the problem. Anytime your game starts on sunset or you finish a mission and it changes to sunset is when it happens. I had to go back through all my saves until I found one that loaded sunset and was able to confirm it 100% of the time.

Also, there's no way I'm going to branch versions and maintain two of them over a buggy feature. It's either fix it or discard in my book.
