SRV Ideas thread.

Well idk why I haven't thought of this before but why not add the ability to select highlights and lowlights when choosing hair color?

Also, don't do the invincibility upgrades again. Saints Row is enough of a cakewalk for me as-is.

And another thing, expand the amount of players that can be in a co-op campaign. Consolization certainly is no excuse anymore since both the PS4 and Xbox One support up to like 12 controllers on the same system.

Speaking of multiplayer, not saying copy GTA 5 here but something like GTA Online would be awesome. At least give the ability to make dedicated co-op free roam servers on pc, and then work from there.

SR Online would be a lot of fun, but I don't think Volition is up to the task. Even Rockstar sort of missed the mark by relying on a P2P system.

How is GTA Online P2P? Anyway, I still think expanding the amount of players in co-op and allowing for dedicated servers for free roam on PC could at least partially alleviate the issue of Volition not having the funding or manpower to pull "SR Online" off.

GTA Online does not use dedicated servers IIRC. It is a Peer to peer which is absolutely horrible. It's also why cheating in the game is so easy.

Well I wasn't implying that it did use dedicated servers. I was just stating that dedicated servers hosted by players would be the next best thing to... okay well better than GTA Online honestly. I always knew that it had to be peer to peer. I thought you meant pay to play when you said P2P. I guess I also should have been more clear in stating that I meant servers hosted by players. I think I got the terms player hosted and dedicated mixed up...

And yeah, any server architecture that allows one player to modify their game and have the mod spread to other player's games is probably the worst idea possible. I mean seriously, a malware targeted at videogames? Really? And I'm sure it got a lot of innocent players banned for "hacking" too.

Not saying you implied anything. I was merely replying to your question of how GTAO is P2P. Dedicated servers were used as context.

Ok then.

And a I just thought up a little bit of speculation. SRV will possibly involve going back in time to try and save Aisha (that's how you spell her name, right..? I can't remember...). If anyone doesn't know what time travel has to do with Saints Row 5, all I can say is that telling you would spoil Saints Row 4 for ya.
