SRV Ideas thread.

- PC exclusive. Because consoles don't matter.

Well since SR5 will likely be eight gen only it should mean Volition won't get bogged down with those memory restrictions from Hell. (I could just imagine how difficult it was for Shitface or Miku to mod SR4).

SRV doesn't concern Boss. In fact, it doesn't concern ANYONE we've come to know in the series. Instead, it's some random Saints member that we've never heard of before trying to make a living within the Third Street Saints.

I honestly wish there was a major recurring antagonist in the series....

Also, for the love of god, SR5 better be released alongside modding tools and proper support the same day it hits PC, because obviously it is a pain to shoehorn modding into the SR2-4 a long while after release when they were never originally intended for such.

Instead of straight tiered upgrades for weapons, give us a higher degree of weapon customization, like adding attachments and modifying internals to boost stats.

Character customization should have super intuitive ways of modifying every aspect of your character. Let us put hair wherever we want, let us deform our characters in every which way, let us paint skin colors on with our mouse instead of choosing one solid color, unlock all sliders so we don't have to do that ourselves, etc.

Finally, I hate how open world games like GTA and SR have tons and tons of buildings that are nothing more than trees in the urban jungle. Every building should have an interior. Heck, that might open up some neat diversion possibilities, like burglary and home invasions.

If you want every building to have an interior, SR5 will release in 2050.

If all buildings have the same interior, then we'll be waiting until 2025.

And what we will get in 2025 is a game where every building has the same interior.

Either way, nobody wins.

Well, if somehow another version of Steelport is the setting for SR5, I'm sure it won't be THAT long. It's not that big. Plus it would be quality over quantity to put somewhat meaningful things in the city rather than to pull a GTA 5 and make this huge world and act like procedural generation is this new and amazing next gen tech that only the cream of the crop of gaming consoles and PCs can handle when most of it is just empty space with no purpose.

What exactly did GTA 5 pull? lol.

The open world in GTA V is just like any other open world game out there. Don't know where that procedural generation thing came from either, or what it has to do with GTA V but ok.

If anything, you should change your statement to "...somewhat meaningful things in the city rather than to pull a SR4".

Don't expect too much from a developer who cannot even get their website working.

As many people have stated before if Volition does bring back Steelport. (Which sadly is VERY likely). They better make some actual improvements to the city. SR3's Steelport was boring and SR4 was even worse since someone at Volition thought it was a good idea to get rid of the few landmarks the city actually has. You know your open world is bad when just about any other open world looks like Narnia in comparison.
