"True" ship location, is there more?

Sorry.

That red smudge above is the old SR TT HQ area I meant.

Thank ya! :3 I'd try to run my own tests, but I think I just might kill my entire computard by doing so. Can't wait to see how much further this develops, though!

Since this has turned more into a discussion instead of a Technical Modding question for Volition, I'm moving the thread to the General Chat forums.

Sorry. :p

Didn't think it would've turned into a huge discussion.

and no, it's not bad that you just started into the series, the audio logs and loyalty missions pretty much give you an idea with what happened, a joke from Saints Row 2 referring to the first game was, "That mute shit was getting old.", along with Johnny Gat and Aisha questioning saying they looked different because the Main Character never talked in the first game among other things. Least of what I can remember anyway.

If Volition plans on making Saints Row V, I hope they keep Laura Bailey, (Female Voice 1).

Most likely will be a SR V, but maybe redesigned universe/themes.

Perhaps.. time will tell.

I really hope they still keep the real-life gun themes, as much fun as the alien themed weapons and Murderbot minigun arm is, I don't really like them. I would rather have the M134 Gatling Gun from Saints Row 3 take its place. Once I start to understand conversion a little better. I want to bring the MP7's and Minigun into SRIV but I'd have to bring over the animations for the M134 as well but I don't know how the weapon positioning works either. Not many people even care but the clipping with some guns drives me crazy more than it should.

Right now, I've just been extracting all the files down and looking through them to see how they work, what they are. I've been into game modding for 8 years but the formats Saints Row uses are new to me and I never really tried to mod the other games. I can't wait for the SDK tool, honestly. Volition surprised me with them going to release a tool for amateur/professional modders and I'm sure IdolNinja and Minimual is helping them a lot with that tool. I'm still jealous of Idol testing the game before it was released but he deserved it.

I found something else out.

Under the world, near each Gateway, there seem to be empty featureless gray rooms that look kinda like clay.

One of them had a floating door in it, most of them appear to have "light cones" which are hard to describe.

Not very interesting, but those may be the physical gateway areas.. for whatever reason.

Either that or they're unrelated.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. I've probably spent more time under the map than I should be.

This.

I like a little bit of everything when it comes to guns in games. Except, of course, I tend to find a niche and stay there, then whine when the mission gives me a weapon I haven't bothered on using/upgrading.
It's a vicious cycle.

Yes. Yes it is.

I don't bash games until I try them though. With SRIV, I kept myself in the dark with the new features. I didn't know anything about SRIV until I got it besides that the city was the same.

SRIV is what happens when I randomly decide to buy a game. And disappointed, I was not.
It's a good feeling when that happens. But dangerously addictive.
