I do happen to have Windows 10. Just saw your post regarding it but yes try uploading it and see where I can work from there. I haven't tried the facelift thing yet but I would like to install that later. For now, my main focus is on the hair style.

Either way the files are the same. Try my newest upload. Pack the custmesh files and customize_item.asm_pc in the customize item.vpp file. Then replace the preload rigs.vpp and should work. That way game thinks it is original

Just tried it, still crashed.

I don't think preloadrigs was meant to be touched. As long as I only use the original it works fine but if it is touched in the slightest it crashes on me.

I don't think preloadrigs was meant to be touched. As long as I only use the original it works fine but if it is touched in the slightest it crashes on me.

It works fine. It must be there for hairstyle to load properly. What game version you running. They have to match.

Right click on srtt in steam.
Click proprties.
Local files
And underneath it will show game version. Mine is 72005

Hey, sorry for the wait. Was trying to unpack and repack these files. I checked and it seems I do have the same version. Might be a Windows 10 problem, not sure. I'm still trying. Awhile ago I was able to get to the screen where it says that the game does autosave but then it crashed after that. Still got ways to go but I have never gotten that far before in this. Normally it crashes on the screen before that.
