It may seem weird ... but what actually brought me to SR2 was the Mafia game (the first one). I really like playing it's "Free Ride" mode to roam around the city and create mayhem like shoot random people until my notoriety goes up enough and then evade the cops or block a road with my car to create a traffic jam and then throw grenades and molotov cocktails into the whole mess.
Anyway, I wanted to try something new but which would give me the same freedom, so I started to look for other action games with an open-world feature ... that brought me to the GTA series, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Mafia so I went on with my search and came across Saints Row 2, which I really loved. It has so much potential for random mayhem, great activities (FUZZ and Septic Avenger are hilarious) and some fun weapons (like the Ronin sword, the shock paddes or the fire extinguisher).
I then pre-ordered SR3 as soon as it came aroud, but felt kind of disappointed when playing it. It is good, but most of the features I love about SR2 didn't make it back into SR3. So I'm still playing way more SR2 than SR3.
