What got everyone into saints row?

I started with Saints Row 2 from a recommendation by a random friend I had on Steam,so I bought it near the turn of 2010.Got addicted to it on the very first hour of playing it.I was in the 8th grade back then and I remember getting some really bad grades(stopped doing those shitty homeworks,etc) and I also had a lot of temptations to skip school only to play that game.So here I am now modding the games to my liking.

Forgot to say that after playing the shit outta SR2 I started to look out for other Volition titles which resulted in me also buying the Red Faction series.Too bad Armageddon is the last of the series,considering that the ending calls for a new open world Red Faction title.

A friend told me to try it out. Started with SR:TT for PS3 and I immediately loved it. Then I bought the pc version and DLC after DLC (leaving the pointless DLCs out). Then I went for SR2, which, even though there was a lot to do, with so much variety, got me a tad disappointed because of the lame gunplay from both protagonist and NPCs and because of the animations. GotR made added a lot of fun to the game too.
Then SRIV came. Most things are pretty neat, though, in the vanilla game, there are few things I missed. In example: gangs. I was glad I could mod them back in (not all though). But I would love to make notoriety spawns for the gangs.

With the all the modding I did in SR:TT (mostly for myself), I OP'd the Singularity Gun in SRIV, with rapid fire and infinite charge. Just golden gameplay with the Singularity Gun now, though, I liked the Dubstep gun the most, because music. |I CAN'T play without music.|
EDIT: I wish I could spend more time on it. Sadly, my clan and all its competitions in ShootMania take so much time. :(

In 2006 I played sr1 and hated it; same with sr2 in 2008;

Ultimately my opinion changed in 2011 upon playing srtt; I couldnt believe how far volition had come in terms of pc support and just general game quality, I just loved srtt to me it seems like the first sr in which volition defined themselves in the open world genre, the craziness, the customization and the coop; I know all that is in 2 but to me sr1 and 2 seemed low in quality; its funny how volition had no games I was a fan of; and now even with only 2 I got more respect for them as devs then I do most

You can add new notoriety groups...I used them for my random encounters mod.They work as intended.

You've played the PC Port of Saints Row 2 ?

Hello.

What got me into Saints Row series, is because of the trailers at first. But, all in all. I felt that I like SR2 better than the other SRs (SRTT & SRIV, SR1 don't count because there is no PC port), I have much more fun in SR2 even though the graphics is not up to the other SRs and the fact that it's a terrible port for the PC. I felt that SR2 worth every single of my penny that I bought it more than the other SRs, no regrets on the gameplay. Gotta miss that Peewee, so much fun riding that motorbike while terrorizing the city of Stilwater. The other little features add in the fun too, like more accessible buildings, picking up random objects as weapon, consumables that can recover health, get drunk or high. Good times... so, I can say that SR2 is what got me into Saints Row series mostly. Also, because of Shaundi ;).

SR3, i was heavily into Playing and Modding Skyrim when i saw this video in YouTube about Zombies in SR3... i just had to click and voila! i was hooked! i played SR3 for about a year and then i found the Deep Silver Humble Bundle, i thought SR2 was going to be crap and it even stayed in my library without installing for at least a month, then i was too curious and decided to play it, DAMN SR2 blew my mind! i just wish Volition did an HD remake for SR1 on PC, i want it so bad to complete my SR collection in Steam.

I too am into modding games like Fallout and Skyrim. Saw a few for this one and thought "wow this is what GTA should've been" and now here I am. I'm happy with it so far. Just beat the game with minimal crashes and infinite loading screens. When more mods come out I'm gonna play it again.
